[95.7] Steve Kerr didn’t have a problem with Jordan Poole’s late missed 3-pointer after seeing Steph Curry double-teamed: “Pretty good look. That’s a shot he can hit. Really happy with that possession. Jordan had six threes already. It was a great shot for us.”

Wide open shot to tie. Just like wiggins game 1 v sac. I’d take it. Happy poole responded. Who cares what Snoop has to say

I disagree. That’s a bad shot for 95% of the league.

lmao holy shit what is wrong with this dude!!?? No wonder Poole is just allowed to do whatever the fuck he wants. Pack it up my god. How anyone can say that about a dude who is been so fucking bad all year is insane.

Stop blaming Poole for this loss.

    1) Kerr had 2 timeouts in his pocket and didnt call one.
    2) Poole could have stepped in and gotten blocked by Vanderbilt/AD. Who knows
    3) there wasnt enough time to find Klay or Steph unless a timeout was called but it wasnt so he had to shoot it and he was open and he’s hit those plenty of times before. Its not like its draymond out there launching a 3

The game was lost at the foul line

Poole was wide open and had a hot hand (6/10 from 3 before he missed). He makes those more than he misses. That was a great shot!

Sure it was a bit far. But dude was hot and kept us in the game. I was totally fine with the shot. And he hit one from the same distance earlier in the 3rd (albeit that shot was way worse in terms of shot quality but he hit it).

Gotta back Poole up here, not tear him down. Barring a trade, he’s with us for the next 4 years. If he can get back into form it’s gonna be a huge boon cause we need someone to lead the 2nd unit, especially with how DDV has fallen off in the playoffs (and possibly leaving in the offseason). When Klay or Curry’s shot isn’t falling we need Poole to be able to come in and score.

I’m hoping this game gets him going. Even when he hit his first 2 treys he was still playing nervous. But as the game went on his confidence blossomed and he was killing it. Shot selection was still questionable but he put them up with confidence and rhythm which I haven’t seen from him all year. Keep that confidence, reign it in a bit, and keep your handle tight young gun, we need you.

  7. Warriors fans trying with a every fiber of their being to blame Poole after an L

Kerr would have been even happier if he took another second to get a foot closer for a made shot.

  9. 100% agreed. And don’t forget how well Wiggs played against Lakers’ big men late game with Loon sitting down.

Not yet the time to start panicking. Let’s go Warriors!!

If the entire team played absolutely flawlessly and the chance to win still came down to that shot, then by all means criticize Poole. But it wasn’t flawless. So many mistakes from various people had occurred for it to even get to that point. If Green didn’t get a technical, they may have only needed to make 2 points to tie. And what if Curry didn’t keep trying to attack Davis at the rim? And what if Kerr coached Curry to start taking the ball down the court earlier in the game?

It’s delusional to solely blame Poole for the outcome of this game.

If you think that shot by Poole is the reason we lost this game you are a dumbass. We wouldn’t have even been in the game without his three point shooting.

  12. No one is saying we lost because of the shot, but it’s pretty obvious that shot wasn’t the best chance for us in that situation, it’s an okay shot, you live with it.

  13. johnnygrant

I agree with Kerr… and honestly we’d need Poole to bomb from 3 cos he’s likely getting blocked at the rim and igniting their fast break if he tries to go in.

So we need him to have supreme confidence and shoot the same percentages he did last night and live with the results.
