We know that Kerr is the best head coach in the league. Make your predication on the adjustments you think he’ll make to set us up for the win tonight.
Personally, I think they really upped the pace in the 3rd quarter and Steph went into shot hunting attack mode in the second half of the 4th. They made great adjustments with AD as well.
So what adjustments will they make for Game 2?

Give curry ball. Curry put ball in basket
Play kumminga and moody more minutes, we need more
Length
More transition / pushing, and figuring out ways to unclog the paint.
Defensively, put more pressure on AD to force turnovers, leading to some transition opportunities.
As long as Poole isn’t a heavy net negative early in the game, there will probably be multiple stints of the 1 big lineup to space the floor.
J green will likely see playing time in the second half if he’s shooting well in his first stint. Almost a guarantee he plays to try and not clog the lane so much.
Something I don’t think will happen but should – use Wiggins to make lebron work more on the defensive end.
I also don’t think AD is playing 44 minutes again tonight, so they should use those extra minutes for the normal 2 big lineups.
Incorporate more small ball lineups throughout game 2.
They did a lineup of Wiggins, draymond, Steph, klay, and Poole in the last few minutes to create a 12-0 run. Sure it didn’t create the win but it definitely had a good impact.
Steph – Poole – Klay – Wiggins – Draymond lineup needs more minutes logged together. Space out the floor just enough so Anthony Davis isn’t just allowed to sit in the paint.
Rile up the team by telling them he overheard the Lakers making fun of their moms
Ball in Stephs hands from the jump. Play Kuminga for some length and defending
More Kuminga.
It’s unfortunate JK gave that interview because I don’t know if Kerr rewards that and we know there are minutes coming his way if he just follows Moody’s lead.
I’d say it depends how Kerr viewed the Moody, Green, GP2 bench minutes. I think he uses them all mor but I also don’t expect big adjustments until game 3.
The wild card is what he does with Poole, Dray and Klay minutes.
Play small ball, up the pace/tempo, attack LeBron and make him work. Definitely gotta get AD out of the paint and make him work on the perimeter.
Kuminga secret weapon. More Wheaties for Looney. I predict a good game for Moody and Wiggins best game of the playoffs.
Kerr needs to show more emotion. I missed the days when he was breaking whiteboards. Fired up the boys and they hit more 3s in a row
Pay the refs.
Zone, small ball, and track meet to tire AD/Bron out.
When Looney gets a offensive rebound, he need to kicks it out than trying to put it in, he got blocked like 3 times like that
Straight up high pick and roll, force AD to come out then incorporate the short action for the roll man to attack the paint.
Separate Dray and Loon and use jamychal and kuminga to pair them.
Play moody as the back up 3 instead of small ball 4. limit GPII and and ddv until they start to knock down shots
Have at least one of Poole and Curry running the pick and roll the entire game
Use Zone if AD can’t hit from midrange/tired
Set more perimeter screens to get free of Darvon Ham
Stop fouling, we cut FTs in half they lose.
Last game was winnable, we weren’t being dominated by a wide margin. A few adjustments should do the trick.
* Stop fouling, stop reaching. Lakers want no one to defend them when they shoot, literally. That’s why they pad points at the FT line without anyone contesting. It also let old geezer LeBron rest when the game stop. Didn’t help that we’re the team that fouls the most.
* If AD isn’t playing well, Lakers can’t win and I truly believe he’s their key guy. They rely on him to defend the paint and also score. So we need Looney and Dray to figure it out. Dray defended AD well in the past but it takes a toll on him with his back, need Kuminga for some substitution to body AD.
* Lakers are tall, minimize driving. You saw game 1 all three of Steph, Klay and Poole getting blocked or defended well when they tried for layups. AD had 4 blocks. We have the best shooters in the league, shoot it outside the paint.
Lastly, we didn’t let Shawn Livingston dominate the ball when he played with the best PG(Steph) in the league. So let Steph handle the PG duty. We figured that out too late last game.
He gives the refs the wrong directions to Chase Center.
Tell Klay Thompson he needs to start games like Shaun Livingston. At the start of games just shoot some mid range shots. After you see the ball go in a few times start stepping out for those 3.
Draymond sits on AD. AD is unable to finish game.
We are going to pick and roll way more and go at AD even if it means getting some blocked. Need to make AD work on defense and get him gassed early.
What if Draymond and Loony could drain midrange shots reliably.
Edit: I guess the answer is then we couldn’t possibly afford Loony and he’d not be on the squad right now.
Same thing as Boston game 4. Curry handles the ball every possession down the floor, PnR with Davis’s man and see how he handles having to guard on the perimeter.
