what a game from JB carrying the scoring load & physical defense all 94 feet

JB shade in this sub needs to cease, permanently. Regardless of what you think, this dude goes hard all the time and is a bucket.

Given the context of how Harden performed, and how we performed defensively in game 1, this was one of his best defensive performances maybe ever. The other standout that comes to mind was the 2020 playoffs where he made Siakam look like an absolute fool for 7 straight games. Usually JB has a tendency to die on screens, but he was getting through them and recovering. It’s crazy to see how good he can be when truly locked in like this.

I was saying it all game I’m glad they went to it more; they need one of the jays on harden at all times, harden shoots over our guards like chairs in the mid range and he bullies our bigs with the step back 3, he can’t do either to the jays

He set the tone for the whole team. That’s our boy!!

Jaylen Brown is a demon on both ends. I think he is so much better than Tatum

Jaylen about to do to Harden what he did to Siakim in the bubble 🔒🔒🔒

The best Celtics account on Twitter. Isn’t some troll who hates on the players and always gives in detail breakdowns with clips. Even when he criticizes the team he explains and uses clips to show what they did wrong and can do better

Him bodying PJ Tucker to fight through that screen was the best moment of the game

I’d prefer hi to guard harden than smart

Him being so locked in on defense was the key to the game. He was super engaged on both ends and his offense ended up benefitting. This is something I hope we’ll see from Tatum tomorrow as well. If his offense is struggling, let’s see him lock in on D, raise his compete level, move the ball. Good things will happen.

JT saw Vanderbilt clamping shit up and said I can do that give me the assignment coach

Do this exact game in game 3.

Have the guards handle the ball with both JB and JT playing off it, and keep up the physical defense. This will be over sooner than later with that play.

  14. These clips were as relentless as they were savage. If he keeps playing like this the sky is the limit for him and this team.

Great thread! He’s been locked in offensively for several games now and he brought that same level of focus and intensity on defense last night. How far we go in these playoffs will probably come down to our defense (the offense has been mostly great outside of the end of a few games), so it’s good to see.
