As for Julius, I personally think in a matter of a season the guy has changed his overall mindset..
Seeing him calm on foul calls and playing smart is refreshing. Days he hasn’t been on, he’s been pulling defenses to him and trusting his teammates a whole lot more than in the past. The guy has taken steps and we should acknowledge it as much as we knock him for his grumpiness.
Randle is the type of player every team should have. The problem is that he gets propped up on our team like a #1 but he’s really a 2.
In game 2 Randle had 8 ast, he was consistently attacking the rim and enabling others with open shots, hitting 44% FG, and getting 12 rebounds.
I don’t know what else they want.

I credit Randle with a lot of the team fitness. I think as a leader of the team his gym rat mentality is infectious. That’s one of the biggest differences between him and Melo and this team and a decade ago. Melo was certainly more talented but Randle has this whole team in the gym year round. His leadership is not only on the court.
It was just 3 years ago Julius was credited for teaching the young guys how to consistently put in work the way Kobe mentored him. We don’t see the entire dynamic of the team. If his teammates are cool with him then who the fuck cares. Yeah he isn’t perfect but he is playing hurt and is giving it his all
