The New York Knicks are playing way above expectations. They weren’t even expected to get out of the first round, but they made quick work of the Cavaliers and are now in the middle of their second round matchup with the Miami Heat. And while Jalen Brunson deserves the majority of the credit as he is the Knicks best player, RJ has also been amazing, and he’s been the Knicks second leading scorer in the playoffs so far at nearly 20 points per game. This video will break down how RJ is thriving for the Knicks in the playoffs and what this means for new york going forward.

You usually don't see a young lottery pick blossom during the playoffs when that pressure starts to mount. ESPECIALLY in a big market like NY, with the way the media are here. The fact that he's "figuring it out" during the playoffs bodes well for the future of the team.
It slowly turned out that hes not ass but useful. Congrats Knicks fans.
Great content
love to see Rj finally doing good in the playoff hopefully he keeps it up let's go Knicks 🧡💙🧡💙
Pressure bursts pipes. Pressure reveals pretenders. Pressure makes diamonds. Pressure reveals stars!
Put some respect on that young man’s name 🦾
Great analysis
And he gets a chance to play the teams he plays good against
An aunt tried to buy me a Knicks jersey with my name for a present, but she actually added that one and then two RJ Barret's number 9 by mistake on the cart. So now I have two RJ Barret's jerseys and I don't have a choice but to root for him ¬¬
Love your takes bro🤘 This is the R.J. we've been waiting for and I'm just happy to be here for it 🍿Lets go Kniiiicks!!
I agree that Knicks play above expectations. However, I don't buy RJ's improvement "changes everything". He started slashing with more confidence and then his shot started falling.. until it didn't. Notice in last game he was on fire till the 4th quarter and then he sat on the bench for a long time. He is still not ready to be a playoff star. He needs consistency and without it, we cannot rely on him. Maybe, next year, after a full year of all-star play.. averaging 20+ points on decent efficiency (I want eFG% to be at least in the mid 50s) and at least neutral on defense, I would say.. YES he is a third star for us and we can make a real run.
I'm happy to see RJ show up for the playoffs. This puts asleep all of the harsh criticism he's received during the regular season. 🔷️🔶️
If you can make it in NY you can make it anywhere! Go New York Go! Knicks!!!!
Let's go new York Knicks
At no time did RJ get to a point where he looked like a G league player thats just an idiotic comment. If that's the case then Quickley looks like a WNBA player in the the playoffs….🤡
Hoops you know I have been one of FJ’s harshest critics due to his erratic shooting and inefficient play. I am ecstatic that the pressure has forced him to make adjustments and do what he is good at and eliminate what can’t do. The team is in a “now” phase in the playoffs and need everyone’s contributions to keep this season going. Props to RJ for getting it done. If you want to win my support, getting it done in the playoffs accomplishes that!!!!
love the vids brodie keep up the grind! 406 videos is wild!!!
RJ just need a pull up jump shot and a star is born.
He was putting in that work with Drew Hanlen and they tweaked his shot a little during a late night sesh during that cavs series. He doesn’t hold the ball directly in front of his face anymore it’s a little to his left now. It’s paying off so far and with that comes the confidence to make quicker decisions with the basketball. Keep up the great content you got a sub from me
Good video. RJ hitting those catch and shoot 3s is huge for his development and critical for our sometimes poor spacing
RJ literally has zero moves, he’s mostly just a straight line driver who loves going left. No dribble package, no shiftiness, no off-ball setups, a poor FT shooter, average at best 3pt shooter. How has this man not developed any moves since being in the league?!
We can't realistically expect the 3 point shooting to continue at the efficiency level it's been at recently, he's just never shown he's that guy consistently, this season especially. He has hot and cold stretches as severe as basically any NBA player I've ever seen. The 3 point shot has only marginally improved since he came into the league from Duke, despite a year 2 spike in shooting % that made it appear differently the numbers since cratered.
But what can be a huge game changer that he's been doing and can hopefully keep doing is playing with the improved decision making. Knowing where he wins on the court, getting to the rim ruthlessly since he's as good as any wing at doing so, and being smart with when to shoot and when to pass. All that has been on display and it keeps his scoring and efficiency up when he makes good basketball decisions
