Hate me for it, but yes I would. Maybe not the max but I’d throw big money at him.

I’d give him the max. He’s roughly the same age Chris Paul was when he was traded to OKC then signed with Phoenix and Paul still made multiple all-star teams during that timeframe.
And, I say again, considering how important it is that we be seriously competitive for the playoffs this year, what is a better option? We have a lot of young talent but zero evidence that they can make the playoffs on their own.
People that are anti-Harden have yet to coalesce on a better idea besides assuming that Memphis would trade Tyus Jones when Ja Morant is proving increasingly untrustworthy to stay healthy and mentally lead that team.

Yes, let him retire here, guide the young guys, and hoping for winning the wemby sweepstakes

I would be hesitant to give him anything longer than 2 years

Nah, we have seen how a bad deal can hand string you in terms of cap. If you bring him back it needs to be in a way you don’t need to trade him away and have to give up picks or eat a worse or as bad of a contract for when his body completely goes out on him.

Nope. Love Harden but just doesn’t make sense to me.
