    >“Poole’s development is going to be to understand that everything doesn’t need to be a highlight. Understand that you do not need to shake and bake every play. You come down and get an easy one,” Arenas said.

    >This postseason, his average is all the way down to 11.6 points per game on hard-to-watch 36/29/76 shooting splits.

    >“Watching Poole right now, I might trade him. … If I can package him and get someone I can rely on, I’m going to try it. He’s not Steph. He’s not a replacement. He’s showing me this s—t, that’s what he’s showing me,” Arenas said during a play where Poole tried to get fancy with his dribble during garbage time in the fourth quarter and nearly committed a backcourt violation after losing the ball. **“He’s supposed to be the best player on the court, right, and he kind of looks like the worst player. He’s the highest paid on this court, and he looks like the worst player.”**

    >When his fellow stream mates rebutted, noting Poole’s pre-All-Star break tear — he averaged 27 points a game in December — Arenas pointed to the fact that Poole hasn’t been able to do that consistently.

    >“That’s cute. I don’t need inconsistency like that,” he said. “When you’re talking about 140 [million dollars], you being my future, **I need you being consistent.”**

  2. Part of me wants to agree and the other part of me is remembering that this dude helped us win a chip last year. So maybe this is just another gilbert arenas hot take that’s just getting a little too much attention. Poole’s been getting roasted like no other lately (some things not even related to basketball) and he’s only 23. We’re not talking a veteran, he’s still young and learning, y’all calm tf down and wait for the playoffs to end before talking trades.

Incoming 40 piece from Poole party

  4. I just don’t think Draymond and Poole can both be on the team next year.

Draymond is too important, so Poole has to go.

  5. Status-Beyond-1116

Gil is completely insane. Basketball analysis set aside.

  6. elderbulbasaur

I want nothing but Poole’s success, and at the same time, every time he dribbles the ball I can’t help but expect the turnover. It’s a bummer.

  7. Ok-Roof-978

    Lol.
    Everyone a Poole Hater. Lmao

Does everyone realize this is JP’s second full NBA season?! (I believe he spent most of his first 2 seasons in the G-League)

  8. Peepeetodapin

If the Dubs bounce without a ring this year, Poole is going to get a lotttttt of hate and a lottttt of questions will be directed his way.

  9. AMS_GoGo

We are in the middle of a playoff run

We can talk trades in the offseason

  10. The talent is there, but the maturity is not. The big payday might have actually exacerbated the problem. There’s still time for him to get his head straight and start playing at a level he’s already demonstrated but I’m not convinced he’ll get there anytime soon.

Also, it will be Draymond **OR** Poole next year, not both.

  11. MikeLilPauseRodick

Serious question: who wants him at that price? What do we have to throw in to get someone to take him? I don’t see any value.

  12. theghostfacekilla

Poole has the tools it sucks right now to see him struggle. He has to learn to play with nuance and when to hit the gas. Confident he can. Will it be this soon when we need it. I don’t know but have a little faith he was an integral part to the 2022 championship

  13. HoboNoob

Honestly Poole isn’t getting traded. Might as well give him good vibes and hope for a champion year performance.

  14. buckdancerschoice

I’d personally like to see how he responds next year to his play this year. Up until the championship and the contract he’s done nothing but improve in leaps and bounds. This year I think he’s going through a bit of a success hangover and the true test I think will be if he works in the off-season and comes back next season ready to prove himself again.

  15. RedditSuxCox17

Gilbert Arenas did nothing in the NBA so his take doesn’t surprise me.

  16. PhillipMcKrak

Honestly I was hoping that Poole would use this offseason to fix his game. Kinda like Tyler Herro did a couple years ago

  17. DefinitionDry1490

Look, we’re in the middle of a series and I don’t want to disrespect JP when we need him to succeed.

But that aside, I agree, his contract will cripple the franchise, and with the core 3, the only way we can bring in someone impactful in is to trade either Klay, Dray, or Poole, or a combo/all of them.

Problem is, which team is high enough on him to take on the commitment? Might only be teams who value about his jersey sales and not optimistic for winning. We’d have to add JK or someone to sweeten the pot.

One Id like to see personally is Wizards S&T Porzingis to us for JP and whoever else they want that isn’t in our starting 5. He’s finally had a great year and he’d be a beast in this offense. What JMG did in gm2 is what KP can bring often + more.

  18. He also said Steph wasn’t *smart enough* to flop/flop properly. Man’s opinions and insights are wildly questionable lol

  19. electricHats75

Like. During the playoffs. Like who can we bring in now? Preferably a 6’7 to 6’8 wing. Jordan Poole for Trey Murphy. Who says no?

  20. dating_derp

    Edit:

They got a big game tonight. Possibly the most important game of the season. We know they see some stuff on social media. Let’s support our guys.

  21. Shamanboi408

not yall takin Gil’s opinion seriously lol. Trading JP is not going to fix the problems we have had as a team this year. He is underperforming but he is young, itll be hard to find a catch like him down the road when our vets up and retire is all im sayin.

  22. glass_fully_50-50

Dont care about what another ex NBA expert spouts!

We are in the frigging playoffs – all this NOISE from nobody ex players and leaks from the “locker room journaliasts” is just aimed at trying to destroy the comraderie and end the dynasty – Eff of all you warriors haters – LETS GO DUBS!

Everybody smelling blood like sharks! NO WAY – NOT THIS YEAR!

p.s. Does anybody else see this as part of an archestrated effort by “journalists”, leakers, ex-nba players, etc all banging on the warriors as if they know that Adam Silver is actively trying to destroy the dynasty and now is the time to jump on that ship. Or is my tin foil too big!

  23. Osmoszis

Now I understand how Cowboys fans feel towards Ezekiel Elliot.

  24. Dr_Kermit

I really dont get it, he has about the same problems as young Steph (Poor Defense, Turnovers & Bad Shot Selection). Imagine if we gave up on Steph too early, we never become a Dynasty.

  25. I think it would be kinda dumb for the team to try to trade him when his stock is relatively low. I mean maybe they could get a team to bite, but why not start the season with him next year and see if he can become more like 21-22 JP and increase his value?

  26. Raw_Oakland

Either Poole understands this about himself and doesn’t care to fix his glaring issues, or he’s completely oblivious to what the team needs and his own shortcomings.

Either way this should’ve been resolved a long time ago and it’s not a good look.

  27. JazzLobster

Gil is a troll and he’s hilarious. But JP helped bring the chip and he’s had a rough year. He was terrible as a rookie, then made a jump, I have faith he can get it together next season or the one after.

  28. Scuttleduck

Poole is 6th on the team in playoff minutes and 9th on the team in salary. He is not the reason we look shaky. Klay and Wiggins need to be better, and Draymond needs to avoid foul trouble. We need more from GP2 and DDV. Next year Poole jumps in salary, and yeah maybe we should trade him (he signed the extension knowing that was a high possibility, so no hard feelings). But that’s next year’s problem. Right now we’re relying on someone who makes 3.9M to play disproportionate minutes, and all we’re doing is blaming him.

  29. mensfashionfiles

Cant trade him when hes at his lowest. Most likely wont get anything worth it
