Good, I was sick of all of the drama and toxicity.
Now I can focus on the Lakers/Warriors game officiated by Scott Foster, where there will surely be none of that.
Probably an unpopular take, but while I understand the league’s policy of fan protection I also think over the last couple of years we have seen fan behavior getting more and more out of line. The rights of the fan participation in the game should extend as far as they aren’t actually interfering with it. At some point the league has to put their foot town and start enforcing a modicum of respect from the fans themselves. Especially when it’s one of the fucking owners getting involved.
Should Jokic have done what he did? Absolutely not, and a decision to suspend would have been perfectly acceptable and justified in my opinion. We can acknowledge that, and I think also recognize that fan behavior needs to be put under control as well.
