would make sense, GPII’s biggest problem this playoffs has been logging heavy minutes with Poole

  2. Are we sure this is accurate? Steve rarely releases his starting lineups before the required deadline (30 min before tipoff) in the playoffs.

  3. Good stuff.

Wonder if Ham still has Davis “guarding” GP2 and Vando on Dray? I like GP making decisions on the short roll versus J-Mike.

GP can definitely help with rebounding and defending Russell if he goes off like in game 3

Still feel like there’s a world where Kuminga thrives as a starter. His three ball has looked decent enough this year. He can guard LeBron, at least has the size to match up with AD, and can switch onto Russell or Schroeder without getting totally killed

  5. GP2 is going to be not guarded when he’s on Offense

Lakers fans are claiming this allows them to sag off 2 people but GP is still 20x the threat from deep that Looney is so it makes a difference.

  7. voldemortscore

Does this help though? They will still put AD on GP2 and help off him, if he can’t make shots it’s basically no different than having Looney out there.

Definitely don’t hate it. GP2 has huge impact when he’s on. Especially in the defense and offensive rebounding department. I’m assuming he will be on dlo to start. If he can start hitting those corner threes like he did last year we’ll be golden.

  9. limegreenleaves

Gotta make sure to box out to start the game then

Looks like they’re letting AD eat, but try to shut down the others. At least that’s my prediction.

Great move. Have to go small, cause now AD has to guard a playmaker, either Wiggs or Dray, now you can force PnR action with Steph that’s advantageous. Couldn’t be JP cause we all know why – but GP provides defensive prowess, and is still a scoring threat (limited, but rebounds and can knock a 3 down). My guess is we also see JK in non-trash PT.

I was expecting a Curry, Poole, Klay, Wiggins & Dray start to be honest. Given Kerr strategy has been to just out shoot and pace the Lakers so this is interesting.

Has he finally given up on Poole?

Also this leaking early is a bit scary considering how tight lipped just the other night about Looney sickness was.

Finally. Time to get serious. No more Tom poolery

I trust the Payton name. Trusted his dad in the 90s. Trust him now.

  15. danielsdch

I hope he hits the open threes for real, now or never

  16. samarajan

Would’ve liked moody in this spot if we’re going small.

  17. We are so confident we don’t care how early it leaks

  18. vizhal007

We took Looney out of the lineup cause they were helping too much off him and dray, hope gp2 can make them pay for helping tonight.

Poole in a smaller role off the bench is good too.

  19. Witty_Tonight_6478

He need to make wide open 3pt shots if they want to spread the floor. They was leaving him wide open the first few games and had trouble converting

  20. buckdancerschoice

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee

  21. Right_Sail9447

We was worried about floor spacing when Poole shooting like Stevie wonder lol, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 u can start jamychal, looney, GP2, or poole it won’t matter all gettin ignored Atleast GP2 gone play D and cut and shit. This is how Lebron always has his teams guard the warriors lol don’t guard anybody but Steph and klay

  22. Leighbo87

Dunno how I feel about this. I love GP2 but I think he must still be injured.

Apart from the odd highlight he’s been a shell of last season’s performance.

  23. Jimmy86_

Interesting play Kerr. Let’s see how it works out.

    Let’s go dubs!!

  24. Fabulous_Investment6

    Ooooh this is spicy!!!

Love the flexibility with this lineup and D’Angelo is going to have a much tougher go of things.

  25. primeyield

Kerr doubling down on the OGs with this move … let’s goooo

  26. rarestakesando

I just hope he parks in the corner and not the elbow. Th it’s his spit his shot had been historically good there yet this series it’s always the elbow and he bricks the three from there.

PARK IT IN THE CORNER GP2!!

  27. glass_fully_50-50

So, will tonight shift the “who won the GP2” trade narrative towards the Dubs side – I certainly hope so! Lets go GP2 – please please pleaaaaase!
