The reason why Udoka was better… 🤔🤔
Hey Joe: NO SHIT!!!!!!!!! I'm convinced the reason why Joe doesn't like to call timeouts is because he has no clue how to draw up a play.
Really thinking we should have kept Udoka instead of just dumping him like the Celtics ended up doing. The Rockets may very weel have a genius on their hands going into next season
He needs to sharpen up. START CALLING TIMEOUTS. And STOP LETTING SMART SHOOT THE LATE GAME SHOTS.
SMART IS 4-18 IN LATE GAME SHOTS IN THE RECENT PLAYOFFS. STOP. THE OTHER TEAM IS GETTING THEIR WAY.
YOU ARE LOSING HUGE GAMES BECAUSE OF LOW IQ ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MISTAKES.
Joe has my trust. He owns up to mistakes but stays true to himself as a HC
That's why we need a veteran coach who has been there before. We have a championship capable team but may not win because we have to go through to training wheel period with a totally inexperienced new coach.
Joe, NOW please DON'T have Marcus on the floor in crunch time… Brogdan was brought in for this reason, to be on the floor in crunch time !!!!!!!!!! I mean GEEEEEEZUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonder who's idea it was to hire an inexperienced Coach for championship caliber team. 🤦🏽♂️
Championship windows don’t last forever, Joe needs to learn from this mistake and use timeouts properly, this series should be over instead it’s 2-2. I still think we win this but we all don’t want a tiring 7 game series like round 2 last year.
Please tell me why Marcus Smart is so important to this team? He won defensive player of the year last year and the Lakers are doing a better job on Steph than Smart did. He couldn't stop Trae Young or slow him down and Harden has two 42+ games and Brown has played him pretty good. He usually is a turnover machine and he can't shoot, for anyone to get mad these are facts. There best team is with Brogdon, White, Brown and Tatum…Horford, all can shoot…Because he has to start I'd trade him because he should be coming off the bench for defense
Okay but how many times has this already happened over the course of this season and how many more will it take for him to figure it out? Seems more like because his arrogance and stubbornness to learn from past mistakes
When are they gonna play like they really want it, like they know they choked their last opportunity and can’t afford to choke it away again…? When will they act like the team with the most playoff experience left in the East and act like they actually were pissed about losing a couple of days ago and losing in the Finals last year. When are we going to act like winning is a priority and start to think like it. They say in the playoffs a team takes on the personality of the Head Coach & Major mistakes are being made up and down the list from Ownership down to the bench players… Do we have ANY situational awareness at all…!!!!! We now have a Rookie Head Coach defending veteran players making Rookie mistakes…!!!!! Get rid of Brad & Wyc needs to sell or do something fucking productive…!!!!!💯☘️
He admits it now, but made the same mistake twice…doubled down on his ignorance.
Championship team + Rookie Coach 🥲
Joe is so concerned the Sixers will set up their defense if he calls a timeout. That's so pathetic. In my opinion that's playing not to lose, instead of playing to win.
I'm not trying to be mean, but I think JT isn't clutch and it hurts the C's in the post season.
Nobody think the team is better with White / Brogdon at least on close games. IMO their M.O. is erratic offensive plays from their "Heart and Soul". 😢 Forgot why I had a weird feeling about Smart in his beginning. Point Guards used to give a sense of safe cuz their possessions and handles were cleanest and best on the team.
Not really. If you pay attention to this admission it pretty much invokes a non reality. All of this is good in hindsight. But Joe is acting like Tatum ever runs an end of game play that doesn’t tick down to zero. This is just how he’s done it all year. Why would u expect he’d run it differently in this instance. He’s rewriting the script based on what happened. That said, I expect Tatum learned his lesson here and will start earlier going forward.
Mazulla is again getting out coached you got draw some sets for your star player if you notice how he is being played by the defense.
There is no reason if he is getting the doubled team that ball isn't leaving him quicker and returning to him on the move or finding an open shooter.
You can see Rookie tendencies show at times and its going to cost us, if he doesn't pay more attention to this.
Joe Mazulla
What are you doing man?
Call the Damn Timeout !!
Psychologically Tatum ain't there
Read books on "Killer instinct man,
when its crunch time 99% of the time you just don't come through..
Come on Mazulla.
At this point the Celtics are really close to a second round exit.
Bad game management, yet again
Many may have opinion on Taking the time or not taking the timeout, but I think in end taking a timeout makes more sense, you get to take a deep breath and think over want that final play could possibly look like and atleast give yourself option with the imput of the coach.
Clearly Mazulla keeps disregarding this and Game 5 has to be seen as a Game 7 for Celtics, versus going back to Philly down 3-2 and playing and elimination game.
