Yes, that was me. I'm admittedly not a fan of Simons game on this team, but that's not the reason I said he is overvalued.
1.) There are almost no teams in the NBA who need a scoring guard.
2.) He is not a PG or combo like we thought, he is clearly a SG.
3.) A 6'3 SG with a low motor does not fit well in modern NBA defensive or offensive schemes.
4.) The blazers are looking for the same thing that every other team is looking for, 3-D forwards and modern big men.
5.) If you are trading Simons (who plays a role most teams already have filled) for 3-D forward (a role every team wants to trade for), do not expect to get equal value back.

An NBA team that relies on the 3Pt line better be inversely proportional in rebounds per 3Pt %. That’s the main issue with the Blazers, missed 3Pt shots and missed rebounds. 3Pt shots may be more efficient than the 2Pt shot, but that extra 3Pt miss is a lost possession easier to commit than the closer shot. That’s why “3 and D” is over-rated.
I pray they dont..but if we did trade Ant, it WILL look like the worst trade of all time cause Ant WILL break out as an All-NBA beast averaging high-20s low-30s ppg. Ant IS a beast that's been holding back for conservative reasons…but when Ant says eff it & just goes for it game in & game out, it will be clear he's a generational talent! Like if he was to lead a team like the Magic..Ant would be perennial All-Star & All-NBA! He's had to be conservative in his approach cause of Dame and I jus think if he's allowed to let loose, dude would shock the league!

Anfernee is only the same age as Dame was his rookie season, with comparable stats as his rookie season. Dame 2.0, or Dame lite. Next year will tell.
