Malcolm Brogdon said Joe Mazzulla came to the team after game 4 and said he should’ve called timeout and that he messed up. But Brogdon said that they trust Joe and Joe trusts them. “It’s one mistake and then you move on.”

Joe admitted it himself. We can all agree he fucked up now lets move on and win game 5

It’s not one mistake. This garbage has happened multiple times this year.

Watch him do it again when the time comes

  4. If he said that was the play, did they literally just repeat their gameplan for closing out the game from 4th to OT? Stalled until Smart was open for a 3. Timeout wouldve still led to them stalling.

  5. Im not the biggest Mazzulla Stan but after processing that play, I still think that play woulda worked if Tatum and Smart didn’t take their sweet ass time initiating the play. Of course the safer option woulda been to get another crack at it but smart was 0.4 secs from winning the game. If only he hit the first game winner that didn’t send the game to OT

No point in dwelling on the past. Win today and take control of the series again.

i swear if this team played with pace all the time the timeout is irrelevant. nobody can stop this team when the celtics are playing with pace

Ok what about the part where they were supposed to play with urgency in the clutch? This has happened number of times in the regular season. Inexcusable in the playoffs.

  9. Let’s have the one mistake in the first half then instead of the final 30 seconds, please.

He’s a rookie coach he’s gonna make mistakes as long as he can adjust and it doesn’t cost us a series, it is what it is

At least he admits it when he feels like he made a mistake. That’s how trust is earned. You gotta own your shit. I can’t lie I’ve questioned him as a coach but I won’t question him as a person if he admits he’s always learning. I still think Doc is a slightly better coach but I’m not going to doubt these players until they actually blow it.

I’m frankly more perplexed why they made JB just watch and not involve him in the last few minutes and in OT.

He fucked up our other loss too but okay

“I messed up again, but next year _____” then he will do an ESPN interview about the hot seat and jui jutsu

If he made the shot in time no one would be questioning joes decision to not call time out. It didn’t happen that way, move on, it’s time for game 5
