Paolo Banchero out of Duke is a unique power forward in that at 6-foot-10, 250 pounds he can effectively operate in the pick-and-roll as the ball handler and orchestrator. Very smooth and crafty, the 19-year-old possesses outstanding footwork and coordination while playing at his pace.
He also became the second teenager in NBA history to put up at least 30 points and 15 rebounds in a game, joining LeBron James. At the season’s end, Banchero was named the NBA Rookie of the Year Award and earned NBA All-Rookie Team honors
He’s an incredible offensive weapon who thrives in the mid-range. He can create his own separation in tight windows and pull-up over defenders, His combination of physical attributes and awareness makes him a good defender.
