Make it make sense.
edit: from a report just now
“The Warriors and Kuminga’s representatives are expected to discuss his future this offseason, league sources say. Golden State will need to decide whether Kuminga will receive a full-time role moving forward, and, if not, league sources say the No. 7 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft will want to be somewhere he can play more.”

I’d imagine the Draymond and even Poole situation may change the direction of that team
Last year they were able to win without getting anything from their young guys so they probably thought they could just do it again.
Feels like a bunch of teams (Pelicans, Grizzlies, Warriors) this year thought they could make it in a loaded west without making a significant move
Read the whole article, nothing about the Raptors and OG in it at all. The Warriors have never really made big trade deadline deals. Article basically states that is impossible to have Kuminga on the floor with Green and Looney. Three non shooters
Good. They are the worst trade partners. Never give up anything but expect everything. Also, Warriors are the last team OG should go to. He wouldn’t ever touch the ball for anything less than a defensive play or a rare kick out 3.
Kuminga has that “goes 1st in a redraft” potential if he reaches his ceiling and he’d be a perfect complimentary piece to Scottie
I’d be hard pressed to take that gamble instead of keeping O.G.
Potential is always more tempting than actualized ability.
Warriors are clowns they think they can fleece anyone.
Warriors are still trying to do the “two timelines” thing where they want to be successful for the next decade+, similar to the Spurs
Maybe this summer they’ll get their head out of their ass and understand that once Curry leaves, they won’t be anywhere near successful, which should open up the OG trade rumors again
