Grizzlies Off Season trade scenario

What’s a real scenario of the Grizzlies off season? I’m think OG or bust but I’d love to hear others opinions.

These aren’t my **dream** scenarios but ***realistic*** ones?

    • **Some 3-team trade including Hawks that sends Saddiq Bey & Vit Krejci to Memphis.** The relationship between the Hawks and Trae Young seemed to sour this past season and they might decide to make a number of changes off-season. Like trading him and find someone who could play well alongside DeJounte Murray. The Grizzlies wouldn’t be a landing spot for Young but we could be an additional party in that trade. The Hawks could trade away Young while drafting Jayson Tchicamboud (*as an organization, they do “Ooooohhh-kaay-ayyy” shit like that*) and seek to move around other players. The Grizzlies might decide to part with Z & Jitty in that deal and get Bey (*who could possibly start and be a defensive stopper*) & Krejci. That might be their insurance in case they’re unable to land OG.

    • **A direct or 3-team trade with Toronto for Pascal Siakam.** Maybe it’s a part of that same trade with Atlanta, maybe it’s just Memphis and Toronto working out some deal. Brandon Clarke, Jitty, Z… some draft picks… I could see them attempting to make that happen. Brandon Clarke is a player the organization has developed and likes so I think they’re not necessarily **eager** to trade him but injuries this season has exposed how undersized we are. Clarke in the mix would have meant we would have been in some games we got blown out of and maybe won some we lost but we looked undersized out there and the FO is probably like “*Clarke would not have made us any taller…*” So I don’t see him moved to the 4, I think they might package him into a deal that brings in an impact player and we draft for some height at the 5.

Now, I know that people would say “*Siakam’s a power forward. We already have a power forward in the starting line-up. And we have a couple of backups, too. He’s not going to come in and ride the bench so where’s he supposed to play?*” Well, Trip disappeared some in the playoffs. And his lack of rebounding is an issue to be addressed. I’m not convinced that Siakam couldn’t play at the wing for the Grizzlies. He’s as good or better a ball-handler than Dillon Brooks and though he’s not “*dangerous*” from the 3-pt line, he’s just good enough that he can’t be left wide open out there. He gets lots of rebounds, makes lots of assists and could be the clear no.2 option on offense with Bane as a close 3rd option. And he can capably defend 3, maybe even 4 positions.
