The Knicks went from one series win in a decade to two.
Highest output players in comparison were Melo and Brunson in those series wins in that ten year gap.
We don’t have a star in Jalen Brunson, we have a superstar, and one that eclipses even HOF scorer Carmelo Anthony.
Amazing. All we need to achieve is another series win behind Brunson, which Melo, Chandler, JR Smith, Stoudemire, etc. couldn’t get done; then we have a new face for the Knicks to replace the old.
I have more faith in his ability to do that than Melo’s, who’s all time bottom 10% in playoff winning percentage amongst NBA players to make multiple postseasons.

1.6 APG and 40.6 FG% 🥴
Different eras.
Of the players who made an all-nba team in 2012-2013, Not a single person had a more efficient post-season that year on volume than Jalen Brunson this year. Not Lebron, not Durant, not Chris Paul, not Paul George, not Tim Duncan, not Dwight Howard.
Was Melo the king at one point?
Brunson is on his way to becoming the best Knick since Ewing
Brunson really is HIM. Love Melo he was a superstar but admittedly stubborn. Didn’t help that the FO was clueless throughout his entire career here.
Brunson has already eclipsed Melo in year one.
This was a lower scoring era so Melo’s PPG looks less impressive but holy shit Kobe Brunson is a superstar
Melo will always be my guy just at my age and remembering where I was when we traded for him and being so excited. 2012/2013 was a really fun year with the veteran hit squad.
We’ll see what Brunson becomes but we’re in a much better place with a better FO so he has a great shot to be an all-time Knick, but I’ll never stop rocking the Melo jersey.
