Joel Embiid wanted a MVP. He got it. He wanted a First Team All-NBA. He got it. He wanted to get Ben Simmons off this team. He got it. How many more excuses does he get?

He’s a bitch. He ain’t winning shit. He already begged and got the only thing he really cared about.

  2. GarfieldFromGarfield

don’t worry he’ll be averaging 35 a game as miami cruises to the finals next year

He is injured, probably shouldn’t even be playing, but he is. And he deserves the blame that the team leader gets. He played like shit. If you go out there then you gotta perform, he didn’t. But let’s not act like there are no more excuses.

Doc got out coached by a rookie, Harden absolutely sold another game today and there’s no good reason why, and the rest of the team couldn’t matchup with the Celtics. He would have had to hard carry to keep this game close and he just couldn’t do it.

He was not only bad, but also very unlucky yet again. He’s cursed, basketball-wise, and sometimes you cannot overcome that.

I knew that MVP award could have been cursed, we should have gotten the chip instead of just MVP.

Im willing to let it ride with a coach that has an offensive scheme and isn’t basically leaving the players to play pick up ball on offense. rivers is known trash. Our offense doesn’t constantly look like complete shit on accident. Fire this bum. And if embiid continues to look non existent, then maybe we move on

Agree but can’t blame him for Ben, he was the same player season after season meanwhile at least Joel made significant improvements (in his regular season play lol).

I’ve been a constant supporter of Embiid but man this comment rubs me the wrong way.

Jokic deserved MVP. His on/off numbers, the team’s losing record without him, the incredible efficiency of any teammate that plays with him.

It was a toxic, race driven narrative this year, campaigned for by vocal Embiid fans who took Joel’s lead.

He won the scoring title, that should have been enough. He’s not an MVP, he didn’t lead the team anywhere.

How does getting an mvp of 1st team make the team better? Like getting Ben off the team obviously improves the teams roster I fail to see how the other two points factor into our roster

Our offense sucks ass there’s no cutting, there’s no motion, the ball movement is purposeless (just a bunch of panic kickouts for a last second 3). We’re literally hoping we just outskill the opposing team.

Get Nurse (or anyone) and be pretty healthy for the playoffs, wouldn’t be too much to ask

  12. Instead let’s blame bench warmer Shake Melton for missing three 3 pointers.

Nice, another redditor came at me about this. This proves my point. Others are saying the same thing.

I don’t think Embiid wanted Simmons off the team. I think that was all BS.

  15. That was not just a low shot at Jokic, but downright a bitchy move. Almost like he’s begging for the award.

Imagine being the best player on the team and not understanding why people rely on him to win a championship. Dude is completely tone deaf.

His press conference tonight was gross too. He threw his teammates under the bus, trying to spare Harden and himself, when those two guys didn’t show up.

Dude’s an excellent player, but he’s mentally weak.

Ben Simmons wanted Ben Simmons off the team.

  17. Poverty franchise that produces poverty players.

No way you’re blaming Embiid for Simmons. Everyone is wanted him gone justifiably so

Sub needs to chill. Just one game. Team went pretty far this year. Like a number of rosters, we have problems to solve. Hope Morey and Brand will make a shrewd move or two. Embiid is still the future. JH might be gone or in a reduced role. Hopefully Maxey will keep improving. But certainly need a big move. Morey has done it before.
