    >Now what?

Now Memphis will be tanking next season while he’s out for like 50 games

2023-2024 Season already over for Grizz while we still in this season

  2. RobeGuyZach

Suspend his ass for a whole season. Make an example of him

  3. UrbanJatt

Memphis chose the wrong guy. They should’ve dumped ja and built around dillon brooks.

  4. DollarLate_DayShort

Draft Tyus Jones in fantasy basketball

  5. 00812533

Worst decision by a Ja since Ja Rule decided to beef with Eminem and 50 cent. Complete carrier ender lol

  6. Chubbyklove_

Maybe don’t let him off so fucking easy and this won’t happen. Load management and a half ass interview isn’t going to stop him

  7. Doesthisevenmatter7

Time to send a message 2-3 month suspension without pay with warnings another incident he gets a year. If by some hell he gets another after that he’s out the league. NBA is a corporation with a brand to protect. I like drill rap music too, so I’m not harping on Ja for that, but the gang banger shit gotta stop. He’s a multimillionaire basketball player and business man time to start acting like one.

  8. killbejay

Change his last name to Moron. Ja Moron will sell more

I think this “suspension” will be temporary, but only time will tell

  10. New_Essay_4869

Give him another day and a half of rehab and some breathing exercises and he’ll be good to go.

  11. supermegabussin

Obviously the “therapy” he went through the last time didn’t work. This kid thinks he’s a rapper so maybe suspend his ass for a year and let him follow his dreams.

  12. SpliffsnKicks

Ja is an idiot, but serious question, are they allowed to do something career breaking when he technically didn’t break the law or get arrested for anything.. I agree with everyone in here, but these optics are actually worse than anything he actually did and there is still a Players Association that will have an easy case if the league tries to take this too far, no?

  13. He could have been a face of the league and instead he’s chosen to be the face of a mythical hood he didn’t even grow up in

  14. rosstheboss939

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 50 game suspension followed by a huge PR tour talking about how he’s a changed man and then we’ll have a 50/50 shot at another incident by the start of the 24/25 season.

  15. big_hon3y

Oh you mean he didn’t learn from having a slap on the wrist (eight games with some applied retroactively, or whatever it was)? I thought he learned the breathing exercises to solve everything though?

He got preferential treatment cause he’s a stud. And he knows that. I think he did learn something: that he can do whatever he wants and get away with it as long as he gets buckets.

  16. “All Ja had to do was learn” is like saying “All the turtle had to do was fly”

  17. upghr5187

The league, the team, and Ja were all united in trying to put this behind them as fast as possible. They need to come down a little harder this time.

  18. Playing in the nba is a privilege. If you can’t follow simple rules such as waving a gun then you shouldn’t be allowed to play and all contracts should be voided.

  19. brickvanexel

At this point Adam Silver is going to broker a new sponsorship arm with gun makers, just waiting for the new Glock x Ja Morant to drop with grizzlies colorways on the handgrip. Silver’s only motivation is ad dollars

  20. rmccarthy10

    LOL..

He’s currently worth like 80 million between NBA career earnings and sponsorships. There’s nothing you can do from a monetary perspective right now because he’s too stupid to realize the impact of his future earnings being affected…

Maybe when the Grizzlies go to court claiming the guy’s in breach of contracts for his behavior…. which is on film… And they win.

You listen to him talk for 2 minutes and he’s obviously not at the top of the class…

  21. aftpanda2u

After the Pacers incident he really should have faced some consequences. You’ve now got 2 videos and like 4 other reports of him flashing guns at people? Common man enough is enough.

  22. >All Ja Morant had to do was learn from his suspension.

No he didn’t. All he had to do was not wave a fucking gun around while his friends are filming live. Its not even like TMZ used the telephoto lens from the Hubble Space Telescope to spy on him, it was his own idiot friend sitting right next to him in the drivers seat filming.

This is probably the most easily avoidable situation I can possibly think of. God damn is he dumb

  23. 3AD_EhSeaPee

Learn basic gun safety? Owning guns is all well and good, but breaking multiple of the four basic rules on video is just plain irresponsible. Not only for the safety of yourself and the people around you, but for the people watching who don’t know any better and think that that is acceptable firearm handling.

  24. Beta_Pop

All you had to do was follow the damn train, CJ

  25. _ashwathama

Dillon Brooks: “I’mma be the biggest clown in NBA”

    Ja Morant: “Hold my gun..”
