The 2023 NBA Lottery is tomorrow evening and the Mavericks will find out their fate in regards to the No.10 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. The Mavs have a 3% chance to win the NBA lottery and draft Victor Wembanyama, while they have a 19% chance to drop to 11 and convey the pick to the New York Knicks. If the Mavericks do keep their pick, DeAndre Ayton trade rumors will only get louder. Believe it or not, the Mavs have never once moved up in the lottery; as a matter of fact they have moved down quite a bit despite on multiple occasions even when having the worst record in the league. In the early 90s they had the worst record in the league two years in a row and both years they ended up with the worst pick possible, which was the 4th pick, both times; those picks ended up being Jim Jackson and Jamal Mashburn. Maybe we’re due for some good luck and will move up into the top 4.
I just pray that the law of averages finally gets Mavs to move up to #1 pick
We need to hope that the pick is in the top 5 at least and trade it for a Jaylen Brown or a DeAndre Ayton.
Unless it’s for a certified game changing player, the last thing Mavs should be doing is sending out more roll players that they’re slim on to begin with.
You guys are extremely too confident on us keeping that pick especially after we got “caught” tanking (more or less made it so obvious that the entire world basically new we were tanking to keep that pick). We’re going to lose our pick to the Knicks as a punishment.

Scoot Henderson is the best player in the draft. He would be a godsend and would certainly end the reliance on keeping Kyrie.

The Mavs are Cursed on the Lottery! They have been Burned by the Lottery Every Time! I see them staying at 10 or dropping further out and losing the pick to NY! These idiots have no players, no pics, no nothing mainly from all the BAD Trades and Giving away all there 1st picks for a decade and going forward! Be best Cuban sell the Team and hope someone who wants and knows how to Win in the NBA can take over and gut this FO and build a new FO and new Coach!
