“And if somebody wants to come and find me, they know where to find me.”

It should be made clear that if Becky wasn’t who the front office really had in mind, it was because of the fit that the new HC would need to have with our situation, not because of doubts about her basketball knowledge and coaching abillity. You can be extremely skilled and qualified for a job yet not meet what the employer is looking for. Becky may or may not have had enough experience being the stabilizing lockerroom presence for a team in turmoil. I am sure she is working on that as I type. But until she gets put in a comparable position, we’ll never know if she’d do as good or better of a job as the person who takes the spot instead.

the Times article that this article takes this quote from is a great read

She’s got a good gig in LA…40 vs 82 game season for a championship franchise. Can’t blame her at all…

    >She didn’t close the door on taking charge of an NBA team when the time is right. But the onus is on the league making its pitch to her. Not the other way around.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she was in the WNBA until Pop retires. If you lurk the Spurs sub She’s a favorite to take the reins when he calls it quits

I think it’s pretty disrespectful that writers and social media people keep using her name for positive PR and traction on their articles. No sources needed, just drop her name and let social media machine do the work.

Wasn’t a big fan of her at first, but after more research I’m on board! Masai, break out the checkbook!

Still think she’s getting hired and not for some PR game. I think she’s a great fit, and has the coaching pedigree to take the reigns and succeed.

Wasn’t the reason she went to the WNBA because NBA teams asked her to get some head coaching experience? Seems like her goal **is** to end up in the NBA. Sounds like she’s just playing hardball.
