[Letourneau] If Bob Myers moves on from the Warriors, multiple sources told The Chronicle, he would likely do so for personal reasons. Although several franchises such as Clippers, Wizards & Nets would reportedly eye him if available, Myers, 48, is more interested in making up for lost family time

This is actually great news if true. If the guy wants to be more of a family man that is his right and prerogative.
It’d suck, but you can’t really blame him. At least it’s for personal reasons and not because of Lacob.
Bob’s contract is up June 30th. Draft June 22nd, FA negotiations start June 30th, FA signings July 6th… they’re likely doing most of the legwork now, but it’d be nice to have the GM (whether it’s Myers or Dunleavy) settled before then.
Good for Bob.
Can we get Jerry West back if he leaves?
Why would Bob leave the Warriors for another team? As though he could find a better organization to work for? This is as good as it gets.
If he leaves, he’s not leaving for another team, he’s leaving to go do something completely different, because there’s no better option elsewhere to continue doing what he’s doing
Gotta respect that.
Bob grew up in the East Bay. He’s been grinding for twenty years. The way he tells the story of acquiring Igoudala, he had to lean on his wife a lot so that he could work. I mean, could it get better than retiring and watching the Warriors win more?
I don’t blame him – its such a grind. If anything I hope he stays on like in a consultant type of role where he still is around the team but can be with his family 🙂
Always be loyal to yourself and family first.
I don’t blame Myers’s, I had a job that kept me away from my family for most of my day. I can’t imagine someone in his position constantly traveling and taking calls. Time waits for no one.
i definitely want him to stay but i would totally respect his decision to retire
