Brogdon has been incredible all year, but I think this is where we really separate from last year. Him coming off the bench in scoring against Miami second team is going to be a total change from last year .
Getting back to double bigs and the old starting lineup helps a lot here. It’s really hard to bully a team with 2 bigs that is also running Tatum as the 3 and Brown as the 2. In todays NBA that’s a lot of guys who can play big to have on the floor at once.
Just need Brogdon and White to keep it up when a big and a wing are on the bench and we’re playing smaller.
Feels like every time Brogdon has said something like this “We want the 1 seed”, “Game 5 is a must win, desperation mode.”, etc. the opposite happens.
Good mindset though, just need to be ready to match physicality from the first minute. You know the Heat will be ready.
You know…I’m not so sure. In fact, that’s the one thing I am the most concerned about. The mental side of things. We have twice their talent. It’s not even close from that perspective.
But mentally and coaching? They have us beat.
Let’s see what our boys can do. Here’s to hoping Tatum got his killer instinct back.
