With his 4th tonight, Nikola Jokic has now passed LeBron James and Oscar Robertson (3 each) for the most 30+ point, 15+ rebound, 10+ assist Playoff games in NBA history.

Nikola Jokic has now recorded his 6th triple-double of the 2023 Playoffs, tying Magic Johnson (1982) and Draymond Green (2019) for the 2nd most triple-doubles in a single postseason in NBA history, trailing only Wilt Chamberlain (7, 1967)

Nikola Jokic is now the 4th player in NBA history to record three or more consecutive Triple-Doubles in the Playoffs, joining:
Wilt Chamberlain: 4 Games (04/09/1967 – 04/16/1967)
Draymond Green: 3 Games (05/18/2019 – 05/30/2019)
Russell Westbrook: 3 Games (04/19/2017 – 04/23/2017)

Led by Nikola Jokic’s 34 points (12-17 FG), 21 rebounds, and 14 assists, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1, 132-126. Jamal Murray added 31 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists for the Nuggets, while Anthony Davis (40 points, 10 rebounds) and LeBron James (26 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists) combined for 66 points for the Lakers. The Nuggets lead this best-of-seven series, 1-0, with Game 2 taking place on Thursday, May 18 (8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN).

    If Murray and MPJ do not fail in the remaining games (like they sometimes do), Nuggets will win the series. Otherwise, even if Joker scores 50+ points, that will not be enough. He desperately needs a constant player, like Steph had Klay back in the day. Good addition to this team was Gordon. That was really a wise choice. They need an additional constant player without an ego and with a nice and humble personality to fit the team.

    Where is zigic ? Jokic needs a 1 on 1 with zigic only. All these reporters are asking same paraphrased questions . Just get zigic to ask 1 question for jokic and have it 2 min long . jokic clearly doesn’t want to deal with this after a 42 min game ..

    He’s like a stronger version of Dirk Nowitzki. Strange that he never gets compared to Dirk Nowitzki. But hey. Dirk was never the most popular player either.

    haha nba legalized "steps" (3 steps error in Polish, "steps" in basketball) 😁

    after the last bounce of the ball, he takes 1 step, catches the ball, then takes 2 steps, ending with a minimal lead with his left foot, this is step no. 3 nobody can tell me that he didn't take 3 steps after the last bounce the ball, these are obvious steps. This 3 pointer is MISTAKE hahaha

    it's quite funny.

    I trained basketball for 10 years in the youth team of the 1st basketball league team, without counting I know that these are steps.
