I really respect Jason for being such a huge Lebron fan but yet being smart enough and objective enough to understand that Michael Jordan is the goat by far. People like him are very rare. I truly appreciate him for that.
As interesting as the x's & o's are, this series comes down to where Nikola Jokic's ceiling. It's like LeBron in his first Cavs stint. A better constructed roster (which LA has) can lose if they can't answer one guy. Denver gets nothing with him off the floor against this defense. Gonna have to play heavy minutes.

I agree with your argument about spacing between AD and Jokic. The problem with that for AD is that his release is so high and arc so high that AD can’t contest a shot when he’s off Jokic.

I realize as a Nuggets fan that was for years a Lakers fan I'm an unusual poster. This was by far Jason's best playoff pod and maybe his best ever. Just solid analysis and takes. I had an almost identical view of the game. I disagree that the Lakers will win game 2 or the series or the idea that the longer the series goes the more it will favor the Lakers. But this was a pod that was so different from the crazy national post game 1 narratives that have the Lakers in the drivers seat because they're all terrified that the Curry/LeBron gravy train and rice bowl is coming to an end.
This is what I saw at the start of the game I can not believe this was not the first thing mentioned.. The game was clearly lost on the boards.. Yeah it blows my mind noone noticed this on the first go round..
