Scoot. If wemby wasn’t in the draft hea the consensus #1 pick, we can most likely trade Rozier with the 27th pick(hopefully a 2nd round pick though) for a solid wing if we really wanted to, we already got a lot of “shooters” we need someone who wants to attack the basket and shoot middies, he has the size already, he’s already played with grown men so no need to really gel, both Melo and scoot can play off-ball, honestly it’ll most likely open up their games to play off-ball a bit, he has Steph curry trainer and is already picking his brain, also he hasn’t been a part of an investigation. Also if we want butts in seats scoot would be the pick he had buzz for the longest time now
I really question any analysts opinion that thinks Miller is a better fit for the team. It seems entirely like they see Scoot’s and Lamelo’s position is both PG and leap to conclusions from there.
Scoot and Lamelo’s skill set is a lot more like a Venn diagram than a circle. I don’t just believe they’ll work together, but that they’ll enhance each other. And this is even ignoring Melo’s size which makes him easily able to play 2 guard. Since when is having two ball handlers and playmakers a bad thing?
And then comes the Miller is the best fit take. Maybe they know something we don’t, but if Bridges and Washington come back, where does he even fit? We really want to draft a role player at 2?
Don’t be dumb. We earned #2 for a reason. We need talent. Take the best player in Scoot (and I believe best fit as well) and you can use him as a trade piece to get someone if it doesn’t work in terms of wins
Take scoot and don’t look back
We’re gonna draft Miller, and we’re gonna watch Scoot be an all nba guard because of “fit”
Outsider here, but I think the Hornets should take Scoot. He’s got the higher ceiling, and you shouldn’t be drafting for fit with the second pick.
