Am i going to be allowed in the new practice facility? If not, don’t care about that. Wemby is awesome though

New practice facility is likely a non factor for free players. Wemby, on the other hand, will attract players. Maybe not this season, but once the Spurs build him up, they will want to come, and we have the assets to get them if needed.

My guess in 2 or 3 years they’ll announce a new stadium closer to downtown. Or it’ll be something crazy halfway between San Antonio and Austin lol

Practice facility works for CFB but not in the NBA. I don’t think the deciding factor for FA’s is going to be the practice facilities. I don’t think it matters as much as arena location and feeling integrated into the city culture. Hopefully they find a way or location to make it off the riverwalk but that would be a huge ask for public works because that would mean that the city has to support commuters getting in from all over the city in one location. They put it on the east side initially because traffic concerns downtown. I never saw it as a solution and was wasteful.
