This is the stupidest trade of all time. Toronto not giving up OG without getting #3 in return. He’s easily the best player in this trade.

I like parts of this idea but I think it needs some tweaks. The raps are giving up the best player in OG. The best asset is #3. Raps should get that pick. You can add the raps #13 going to Portland or the magic to make it fair. Also, not interested in cole anthony or Knox. Interested in Suggs, tho.
Raps: Suggs, #3, #23
Magic: Simons, Nurk, #13
Portland: og, WCJ, Caruso, bulls 2024
Bulls: #11, little, 2x srp pdx

None of those guys we are getting are worth the 3rd pick. Not even close.

Ignore the raptors fans. This is pretty close to being a fair deal all around.

I’m not a trade/contract guy but honest question for the room.
Not sure if the money works but let’s say it does. If we remove the #3 pick from the Orlando piece of the trade and put Nurk in there instead, does this trade look any better?
I’m I guess okay with this if we swap Nurk there. I’d rather have another All-Star and don’t think this trade puts us over the top but it gets us closer than we are now. Trading Ant (Diet McCollum),Nurk(no finesse in the post),Little(can’t stay healthy) and Knox(meh) and giving up 2 second round picks and the 23rd pick in the 1st round this year doesn’t seem terrible. But that all depends how you value Caruso, OG, and Carter. I only main Portland and don’t watch EC hardly that much so I cannot speak to those three dudes current value.
Idk the ideal trade this summer but I feel like we could find something a little more favorable than this but also could do a lot worse (as long as we keep #3 or deal it in a different trade than this)
Edit: commented before I read OP. I’m into the idea of Chicago voiding the IOU on the owed pick by just letting us keep it, freeing us up for future moves untethered.

I like this more than 99% of those that have come through so far – easy to see why we would do this:
It would give us a starting lineup of: Dame/Sharpe/OG/Grant/Nurk
And a potential bench rotation (with actual defense) of: Caruso/Thybulle/Reddish/Wendell (Reddish/Watford)
I do wonder about the other non-Bulls parties in this though. In a vacuum, Orlando could probably get more for Cole Anthony, Wendell, and 2 first round pick. Same for OG if they value him as much (if not more) than Ant, they’d probably want a bigger pick haul or a better prospect than Knox, maybe?
