  1. Donovan Mitchell to the Knicks seemed inevitable until it wasn't.

I don't see Philly moving off Embiid and going into a rebuild. He's under contract for 3 – 4 years (player option). They still have Maxey and Harris. Harris is expiring after next year and they have some of their picks after the Harden trade. Maybe that gives them an opportunity to get better.

  2. As a sixers fan Morey backed the team in a corner harden is getting old and has never been a playoff player. Knicks have loads of picks so they’d just have to make the cap work. Maybe a mainly picks focused trade.

  3. Im not trading three of our best players for Embiid and his injuries. No way. We need to aggressively go after Bridges fron the BK Nets. He's the third wheel and he's still young. Use the picks already cuz he' worth it.

  4. Sorry but every Knick fan knows Embiid is too injury prone so i don't think knicks front office is interested.

  5. young man youre going to end up getting egg on your face like the people who kicked mike budenhouzer to the curb as coach of the bucks. if the heat go on to sweep the celtics and win the nba championship then you need to look at the knicks season in a different lense. after the heat win the nba title with a sweep of the celtics in the ECF you will look back to see that the knicks actually had a 12 point lead late in the second quarter on their way to force a game 6. the knicks .. uhmm julious randle coughed that up and the rest is history. now part of the knicks struggles against the heat can be boiled down to absence of the thing that proppelled them to great heights this season. offensive rebounding. kevin love and the heat learned how to counter the knicks magical weapon. so what the knicks need to add is more plays to counter the heats counter to the knicks offensive rebounding plays. or better shooting from the outside. They should go and pay austin reeves some money. then figure out what the heck happened to Quentin Grimes. In addition they need to work with julious randle on some pick and roll mid range plays and get him out of the three point line he thinks hes curry hes not. but bringing randle closer to the rim will also bring his man closer to the rim and thus make it harder for offensive rebounding improvement. so i say go get some cash from the diversitty war chest and get that boy austin reeves. joel embidd will give you the same junk the 76ers had. ill pass on embid

  6. embiid is too expensive for someone who is injury prone and only averages 68 games a season at $50 mil plus? knicks do need another star but, if joel couldn't get it done with the 76rs, how can he help the knicks win a chip? let history be your guide.

  7. RJ, MRob and 3-4 pics gets Embid. He's oft injured and is basically demanding trade to NY already now that Harden and his proffered coach Doc are gone. They'll rebuild around RJ their existing youth and 3-4 pics from NY Hart starting at wing is an upgrade anyway over RJ. No one is taking Fourniers 18 mil so let him be shooter off bench we need 10-12 minutes a game. We wait 2 years and get DM for nuthing as he's hell bent on playing with his BFFs Jalen and Josh so Grimes replaces Fournier off bench IQ has to stay as 6th man at PG and SG off bench till then, With Embid playing no more than 32 minutes to preserve him – Hart and Hartenstien are critical pieces . Both Grimes and Obi have future AS potential. Play Randal at 5 some with Obi at 4 so Obi gets more minutes – eventually Randal will be Obi's back up. His and Brunsons deals are super team friendly and only Brunson will get max deal when his deal expires Our remaining pics we find Embid's replacement. Of course Brunson retires as Knick and is future asst coach with his dad after Tibs retires. Sims and Deuce as 10th and 11th guys are insurance and other 3 on roster will all be 1st round pics because we keep D Rose as player coach. There is our Dynasty for next 8 years!

  8. imagine Mitch at PF and Embid at C. We would dominate the boards and be a force

  9. Knicks need a superstar asap I wanna see my city win a championship in my lifetime 😭😭

  10. As a knicks fan I don’t want Joel. I know that seems ridiculous given how good he is but I personally don’t like his personality and feel like it doesn’t fit New York. I’m incredibly grateful for everything Julius did for us but sentiments aside I think the best course of action is trading him this offseason. He’s really good, good enough to elevate the team to the playoffs on his own exploits, but he’s too inconsistent and his game is so centered around holding the ball that when’s he off (aka in the playoffs) he detracts from the whole team. Trade him on his own no package (except with Fournier if possible) and see what we can get. Then this year let the chemistry build even more around Brunson + make a final determination of whether RJ is a keeper or not. If we do that we know we won’t make/win the finals this year, but we can decide which of the young core is too valuable to trade, and which guys we can package with picks to get that real superstar. I think if we do that and wait one more year to make that huge move when we have more wisdom and the team is settled in a little more, the knicks would really be set up for success. Don’t know if front office is at all on the same page, but thoughts on this theoretical plan?

  11. you people are tripping if you think Embiid has some real value,GM's have seen too many players in past like Harden and Embiid to make serious move, not only he does not produce in playoffs, he is 30 years old next season with so many injuries

  12. Personally I wouldn’t trade 3 of our young stars for an injury prone playoff dropper, no doubt Embiid is a star but it’s not worth the risk especially if it sacrifices our future
