  1. There is no reason for the Blazers to keep Dame, and no reason for Dame to want this team to ruin its future by forcing a trade on a couple of guys who wont get them anywhere meaningful. The Blazers have a wonderful young core, especially when adding either Scoot or Miller (PG/PF are positions they need if Dame is gone). Trade Dame for the most pieces you can get back, rebuild around the youth and great picks you made, trade your vets for more picks. The Blazers can do so much by doing the right thing. Damn should have a chance, and he wont get a real one in Portland even with the 3rd pick

  2. 'Nuff respect to Dame for wanting to win a chip where he got drafted, but we're talking about the franchise that passed on MJ AND KD when they owned the overall #1 pick. "Cursed" doesn't even begin to cover it…

  3. I rlly don't get it. 'Don't trade that pick what if it's a future star'. 'Don't prioritize Dame, he's 32'. But what do you want a 'future' star for? So he can once again grow old on a team that'll never get any big free agents? The only chance Portland has TO GET a big time player is by TRADING high picks. It makes no sense to try and 'develop' another young player. You alrdy did that with Dame and it's gotten you nowhere.

  4. Realistic even making trades they probably would only be able to make a deeper run in the playoffs ..not win a title. It's in the best interest of both to move on.

  5. It hurts to say this as a lifelong blazers fan but I think it's time to rebuild and let dame go. I have a feeling that this front office would completely screw up a trade involving the #3 pick. All the mock trades i've seen are terrible nobody in their right mind would give up Ant AND Shaedon along with the number 3 pick unless you were getting a Giannis or Luka level player. Dame has less than 5 years of high level play. Why would you give away the future of this franchise for a trade that MIGHT make the team slightly better and more than likely not win a championship? Blow it up!

  6. Trade the man and rebuild this is a deep class use the third pick and get yourself more moving on.

  7. The blazers should show love to dame by Trading him to Bucks.. maybe for Middleton.. or.. maybe then can do it without getting Middleton..

  8. This relationship between Dame and the Blazers has gone on long enough. Neither side is getting what they want or need out of it, so it's time for somebody to walk away before they lose that love for each other.

  9. I love his respect for loyalty, but I think there's a point where fans and a player can mutually part ways and still maintain a good relationship where a decade from now he can go to blazers games and get a standing ovation.

The blazers are in a perfect spot to rebuild, especially if Charlotte passes up on Scoot.

  10. Huge Billboards, retiring jersey etc…but grant his wish wherever he wants to go

  11. I think ur right about this. The only players I see that would actually make the blazers title contenders are in the Giannis, Embiid, LeBron, Luka, Jokic, and like u said, they ain’t going anywhere. Maybe a Trae young trade is possible, but even as a huge Trae fan, I don’t see two ball dominant point guards that are lousy on defense as a championship team. I think their best bet is to get what they can out of trading Lillard and pick either scoot or Brandon miller in draft and just start over. The Lillard era was great, and it’s provided a lot of moments that’ll never be forgotten, but it was terribly mishandled and will be a future example of how to take a hall of fame talent and still come out with no success.

  12. Is there any way in this universe that Dame gets traded to Golden State? Not so much for golden state, but for Dame who has been loyal as a star player, I'd love to see him ball out and win a ring in his home town.

  13. The goal is NOT immediate slightly above average mediocrity…it's eventual CHAMPIIONSHIP. Gut the whole thing and prepare for the latter

  14. i thought he decided a long time ago to stay no matter what. if that’s NOT true, then he waited to long. a pick or the trade(s) you could get for it ain’t gonna get an old Dame to a strap. it’s done. he’s gonna have to pull a Kevin Durant if he wants a title. i hate it for him, but like Nas said: it’s the life you chose.

  15. I agree that it’s time to start over but the issue is Dame is going to choose where he wants to go. And that’s the problem. And this is the trade idea I came up with.

Blazer recieve: Ayton, Terrance Man, Boston Jr and Bazley

    Clippers Receive Damien.

Suns receive: Nurkic, Marcus Morris and Robert Convington

You then trade Jeremy Grant for Brooks and Zaire Williams. Bring in brooks will bring that toughness to team and hope he has a rebound season so you can trade him next season and Zaire Williams is a young talent.
Blazers are also getting a great you 3 and D young player in Terrance man and a high potential player in Boston Jr who isn’t given enough opportunity in the clippers system. I’m sure some picks will be involved but this trade benefits everyone tbh.

Suns get a rebounding center that they need and two defensive wings that they also need.

Clippers get Lillard. It’ll be a break it or make season for them.

Unfortunately you can’t trade Lillard anywhere because he’s gonna want to go to a contender, and the majority of contending teams won’t have the assets to do this trade straight up, you’re gonna have to involve a hired team and clippers get rid of some players and add another start to their team because clippers are in panick mode. This might entice Westbrook to take a lower check to stay because this is his best chance of winning a title, of course he’d have to come off the bench which would be fine.

Suns will probably keep Paul, but have convington and Morris to bring more defense to the team

  16. Trade Damian to the nets they have a lot of picks and I would tell them give me that kid Cam thomas when he starts he can drop 40+
