I don’t get the leverage play.
If LeBron was serious about that, he wouldn’t have signed an extension this past offseason.
If it’s to force the Lakers to get another star player, what do the Lakers have that they can give up? D’Lo and Malik Beasley are worth a can of beans. And any trade involving two sign-and-trade players would hard cap the Lakers so Kyrie is likely out of the equation. Plus, why would any team want D’Lo and Malik after what we just saw?
If he’s truly considering retirement, I’m just glad I got to watch him play basketball. The man was supposed to be out for the season to have ankle surgery but gutted it out as a 38 year old player. Literally played every second of game 4. I feel like many NBA fans will simply stop watching basketball if LeBron’s gone. That’s how much he meant to the game.
