If we are going with a retread I wouldn’t be super upset with Vogel. Not as exciting as somebody like Cassell might be, but could be worse.
Out of all the whored out coaches being regurgitated, Vogel and Nurse are the top 2 head coaches I’d want, so long as they get the ability to build up the coaching bench how they’d see fit.
They need an offensive coach. Sixers defense in the playoffs was pretty good. Offense was a disaster. Which should not happen with 2 offense only guards and Joel Embiid.

Vogel did a decent job with the Pacers back in the day and he won the first Bubble Championship. But this league is a “what have you done for me lately” league. With that being said, I would trust Nicky Nurse as a coach before I would a Vogel, or even a D’Antoni, who have both been out the league for a quite some time.

I like Vogel overall but I would hope for a someone with a little more chops offensively.
He might have it in him and it might have just been a roster issue, but his offense in LA, even when they won the chip, weren’t amazing.
