  1. The Hornets are in no spot franchise or roster wise to take chances right now based on fit, he’s not where he was athletically granted from mono, already had a history which no body knows how much he was involved with, and he is interviewing preparing to drop in the draft, hornets gotta look at all of this and say scoot is 100% the selection

  2. I’m torn between Scoot or Brandon Miller. Both are very talented, but I know the Hornets definitely have to get this pick correct for the future. I’m leaning towards Scoot tho if I’m being honest

  3. Miller is the best option Melo needs the ball drafting Scoot would be setting the team up for a departure of the franchise player you can’t draft my replacement and think I’m going to be good with it.

  4. these guys are targets in the public eye and neither you nor i know what happened… brandon seems very very honest and intelligent imo and the police clearly looked at this and said he wasnt involved… what more do you want? if you had millions and were semi targeted and the police stated no charges yet someone was running your reputation in the ground how would you feel? the lead prosecuting said nothing so there…

  5. So…..I went to Bama, know alot about TTown and the strip and the cops and the basketball program too.

Jameah Harris will not be an issue. The Univ. Of Alabama has been handling this so far, in a very politically correct way. Is it possible the police overlooked something to let Brandon off easy. Absolutely, but they did it the night of the crime. He was always listed on all police paperwork as only a witness.

Secondly, the murderer will never actually go to trial, so it's possible not all evidence will be made public. The guilty party, a friend of Darius Miles who was not even a student at the University will reach a plea arrangement. As will Miles for being an accessory to the crime.

All this means that the Harris family knows this and they also know full well Miller is about to make a lot of money. Normally civil suits must wait until after any criminal trials if they happen.

The reasons for a criminal trial and a following civil suit being so low is the character of the victim. Again, the University, a State institution, has been ha doing this with kid gloves. A woman, a mother to some an alleged prostitute to others, was murdered about 50 feet from campus with a gun owned by a student. Thry have the reputation of the state, city, and University to look after, then the basketball program and it was all handled very tightly.

Now that it is Miller and his team that will be the only ones attacked, the leash that has been put on attacking the character of the victim will be taken off. Her background isn't pretty. Even her own family isn't saying anything so they must have some sense that she had some culpability in her own death.

Finally, based on what we have we do not know for sure that Brandon Miller knew for certain there was a gun in Miles gym bag. Any good lawyer will have reasonable doubt easy on that in a criminal trial. In a civil trial it's a preponderance of the evidence, ie is there a 51% likelihood thst he knew the gun was there and was to be used to shoot someone? Pretty tough case for even a good lawyer.

The thing about this case thst isn't being talked about much is that Jaden Bradley was also at the scene and it appears his car was blocking the exit of the victim, whether inte tonal or not. Local police ruled it was not. Bradley played like crap the rest of the year, got on coach's chit list and recently hit the transfer button.

Miller was locked in all year.

We got rid of Miles and Bradley and the team was just fine…..

It's amazing how little of.the facts people know about this case when they talk on it. Not just you guys, people on ESPN. Its sad

  6. Brandon miller is thr pick. He has more of what the hornets need at this point. You already have dsj who is thr same type of player. What gets me about alot of fans is that you choose to put milller down bc you want scoot. I really think miller has more of star potential than scoot. And i really like both player's

  7. I understand the fit concept. But I genuinely don’t think having Scoot and melo in the back court is a bad idea. Like we’ve tried to get these wing players who don’t pan out aka MKG. And having another guard to handle the ball and b a great finisher would help. Melo is gonna b melo.

  8. The Hornets will definitely regret not drafting Scoot in a few years. Drafting for fit is a good way to look back and say “what if”

  9. Hornets drafting Miller is very probable since no more Mcdaniels. Also who knows if Hornets resign Kelly O.

  10. Oh yes, drafting for fit? Like The blazers drafting Sam Bowie instead of Jordan, or more recently the warriors choosing Wiseman over Lamelo… in the Top 3 you take the best player available.

  11. Are there any sources not named Jonathan Givony or associated with him who are endorsing the notion of Brandon Miller to Charlotte?

Currently, all the information I’ve encountered appears to originate from him.

While I acknowledge the credibility of his reporting and sources, it is prudent to consider the implications when a single source appears to provide all the available information.

  12. I haven’t watched the video yet but I was just thinking, the last time we had melo and bridges for a full season we went to the play in, we were almost just in the playoffs. Last year we didn’t have melo or MB for pretty much every game. It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to draft BM but I definitely want scoot. I don’t think we should be super upset if we do draft him tho.
