    I was wondering why/how this wasn’t a foul at the time….

  2. aja_ramirez

More of a foul/flop. Enough contact to be a foul but the flop makes it seem cheaper than it is.

  3. Ok-Cartographer-7913

Nah, that’s Strus coming in to play defense and Tatum embellishing minor contact. Respect the try JT, but also respect the refs for not buying it.

  4. ArthurScherbius

How bout that lowry “block” that was pure punch, cant remember who it was on…

  5. bossaus10

celtics play physical and get called for fouls. heat do it though and it’s okay

  6. sunnyPorangedrank

The celtics being bad and written off have over shadowed this but the refs these past two games have swallowed their whistles against the heat. Like tatum and brown barely have free throws

  7. Jawnny-Jawnson

But I thought the refs were pro Celtic

  8. yourlilpissboi

I still don’t understand or get why the Heat get away with being so much more physical and playing up to and past a consistent whistle that they are able to get away with stuff like this. Clearly this is a foul.

  9. insertdankmeme

Tatum ran into Strus after a transition bucket earlier in the game. This was the proportional response. No big deal imo.

  10. WhiteImpDragon

It was a dirty play and refs fucked up good this game. But you know what, I prefer getting called for mkre fouls when we keep this fucking killer intensity on defense.

    LET’S GOOOO

Strus is barley an NBA player and still butt hurt the Celtics trashed him. Dirty, just like many other Miami feet players.

  12. JesseJamesGames449

This is a foul if we do it. All series they are getting contact on touch fouls and we are getting hacked and barely getting to the line..

  13. Forward-Form9321

Gabe Vincent broke his own ankles for no reason at all and still called for an foul on Tatum. So that made me happy at least. Lol

  14. third0burns

Yeah it’s a foul, but I don’t know why anyone is surprised. This is what the heat do. Play super physical to the point where you could call multiple fouls on any play and just dare the refs to call them. They know the refs won’t, especially not in the ECFs.

Strus with ya mouth breathin ass & dead eyes but nice haircut & jumpshot foh

  16. Merde2000

did you see Butler pushing Tatum from behind, when Tatum crashed into Martin?
The refs checked for a hostile act on Tatum, which they didn‘t give. But they ignored Jimmys push.

HeS jUsT a GuY wHo pLaYs hArD 🥴

  18. No call. Horrible. we never get loose ball foul calls in our favor. It’s an automatic on us every time it’s a 50/50 ball in the air.

How is that not a Flagrant Foul II and subsequent ejection on Strus, he clearly got a running start before blindsiding Tatum. Direct from the NBA’s rulebook, which clearly has been selectively enforced this series:

    >A player, coach, trainer, or other team bench person must be ejected for:
    >
    >A punching foul
    >
    >A fighting foul
    >
    >Technical foul for an attempted punch or swing with no contact or a thrown elbow toward an opponent above shoulder level with no contact
    >
    >Deliberately entering the stands other than as a continuance of play
    >
    >Flagrant foul penalty (2)
    >
    >Second flagrant foul penalty (1)
    >
    >Participation in the game when not on team’s active list

  20. Neal-Enblowme

That’s why we’re losing. They’re more physically and mentally tough.

  21. Psychologinut

I saw that as well, couldn’t believe it wasn’t a foul

  22. jromero12345678910

Im just sad that even if we got the fouls, we’d probably miss half of them anyways

  24. Active_Estimate_2598

Knicks fan I know we hate each other blah blah but seriously fuck this Heat team. Gabe Vincent clocked Brunson with less than 2 min to go in game 6 and Caleb Martin stuck his foot out for Brunson to land on, which was all over r/nba. Not to mention Bam Adebayos moving screens which never get called. It’s the worst basketball to watch. Rooting for Celtics.

  25. MeddlingMike

28 FT for Miami v 18 FT for Boston. I think the disparity was more glaring before some late ones in garbage time.

  26. RepeatDTD

Strus is still big mad we passed on him and that his out of bounds shot was correctly called out of bounds last season. Clown Shoes

  27. P4TL4NT4

Yeah also Rob did the same thing to Zeller so what?

  28. pentium4pc

Flop from Tatum. The 80s Celtics would have have smacked these bums.

  29. 20124eva

Can’t whine over every cheap shot. It’s the playoffs

  30. 1990three

Did strus (whoever that guy is) just wake the bear?

  31. Chino780

Of course it was. Miami has been getting away with murder the entire series.

  32. 4reddits

Heat fan here: First, good win last night! Having watched Max all season, I can say he’s not a dirty player so I’m reluctant to say it was intentional. However, I was surprised myself it wasn’t called.

  33. Pryme_Tyme_Playa

Wtf is this 😂. IK people get mad at the players for being soft but this shits like a flagrant cause this is worse than the Tatum play that was reviewed for a hostile act. God forbid we breathe on Jimmy Butler and he gets a trip to the free throw line 😂.

  34. Fake_the_jaB

Pat Riley definitely had a lil chit chat with the refs before the game

  35. Fireball_Findings

That sucks, but Tatum has been doing dirty stuff do Strus this whole series. I don’t want to see either side engaging in cheap shots.
