Absolutely, I def agree cuz the time gotta start now in order for this to work before Paolo says I wanna win and ends up going to another TM. In my opinion magic is gonna make the playoffs either as a play in or w.e way

I actually thought about this a lot this season. Before the trade deadline we were plagued with injuries. After the trade deadline, we were anywhere from 6th to 10th in the league and never dropped below that.
This is interesting because you look at the Nets. After the trade deadline, everyone knew the Nets weren’t going deep in the playoffs. I mean, it’s rare that teams blow it up mid season like the Nets did, but it kinda sucks to be an Orlando team that just missed it and have the Nets be in it because of people who aren’t even on the team. (And I think we’ll probably see more of this as owners get younger and more impatient and if the league ever moves to a hard cap.)
I think a way to help this is to expand the playin another level. Make it a tournament to itself. Instead of doing a mini tournament mid season which means nothing in reality, they should do a bigger tournament for the playin.
I have no doubt if we got in we would have given the Celtics a run for their money and maybe bounced them first round similar to how Miami did the Bucks. And that’s really what everyone wants to see anyway. Not some team that used to have stars get swept by Philly.
