If the Warriors intend to keep their pick, the choice has to be Kris Murray if you want to stay away from project prospects. Stretch 4, Good rebounder in general (Great offensive rebounder), 6’8 and can hopefully develop into a pretty good defender. Immediate Impact Player.

Immediate impact huh. Heard that before

  2. Saturday514

Yes… imagine if Kris is injured in the playoff or something.. we can secretly borrow the other brother to fill in.

Didnt even know he had a twin brother, Keegan murray had a nice couple games in that series he was clutch

  4. Necroassassin32

He’s mocked at the 26th to 28th. Let’s trade down our pick to Pacers and draft this guy and Trayce Jackson-Davis.

But I much rather prefer Jaquez over him tho.

  5. FatesNemesis

Yea. I’m down. Give him Lamb’s spot.

  6. doctorweiwei

He’s pretty old and I don’t think he’s nearly the shooter or defender you suggest.

This year he shot 33% from 3 and in 3 years at Iowa is shooting 70% from the FT line, not nearly as good as his brother. He’s also pretty slow footed on defense, I don’t think he’s going to be much of a stopper

Here’s the one question you have to ask before you draft Kris Murray: why didn’t the 49ers draft an offensive tackle in the 2023 NFL draft?

Answer: because they didn’t see a tackle prospect who could beat out the players they already have.

I watched Kris Murray a bit at Iowa this year, and he’s really good and I have no doubt he’ll be a decent NBA player.

Is he better than Moses Moody or Jonathan Kuminga? Those are the two young players he would be competing with for minutes. Kuminga and Moody both have significantly higher upside than Murray, and they both have 2 full years in the warriors organization and system. They won’t have anything to learn when training camp opens, and based on the increases in playing time both players got this season, they both seem poised to take on bigger roles next season.

Is Kris Murray better than the two young wings you already have? Probably not. How much can he play as a rookie on a team with Klay, Wiggins, Poole, Kuminga and Moody already at the wing position? He will definitely start out behind those five other players.

Go back to the 2021 NBA draft, a lot of warrior’s fans wanted to draft James Bouknight. I made the argument, at the time, that Poole and Bouknight’s games overlaped, so why would you want to take a guy when you have a similar guy already on your team who has been in the NBA for two years (at that time) already? Didn’t make sense to me.

The draft is such a crapshoot, and the margins for success or failure are razor thin. Don’t draft a guy who can’t beat out what you already have; that’s a recipe for a lack of playing time for the young player and eventual failure of the draft pick.

There’s a reason why in this run of recent first round picks (Poole, Wiseman, Kuminga, Moody, PBJ) the warriors never took two of the same kind of player. If you want a stretch big man, you’re already developing PBJ for that role, and he has a full year in your system, giving him the advantage over any draft pick.

The most logical choice for the warriors draft pick is a point guard with size (Kerr liked having Ty Jerome on the roster as a 2-way far too much last season; I’m thinking he wants a similar type of a player, a big PG, for next season.) or a true big man who can defend other bigs (if he can hit a jump shot, that’s a huge bonus). Those are the two roster holes, and players who fit that mold have the easiest pathway to playing time as rookies.

whoever we get is not gonna play much in 2024 but we have no pick the year after and we need small contracts

nothing is gonna hit harder in terms of advice and direction than your twin. he is putting up numbers in Iowa so it’s not like he is a sibling trash hype

let’s see if anyone drops tho

  9. McJumbos

reminds me of a particular power forward that the warriors drafted in the 2nd round 😉

  10. SpiderPidge

I have posted about him a few times and was basically told he is nothing like his brother, even though he had a 20 PPG average. I just don’t see how he couldn’t help the team with numbers like he does in college.
And to say he is like James Bouknight is a disservice to Kris. JB is very immature and in no way NBA ready. Kris is. He might not be his brother, but he will be good.

  11. neo9027581673

No thanks. Kerr will try and make him a small ball Center. Ugh.

  12. Objective_Celery_509

I would like trey jackson davis

  13. HanzoShimada96

And we should secretly swap him with his brother

  14. Affectionate-Ad2081

Just don’t let Lacob decide our pick

  15. s1lence_d0good

Lol they gotta trade the pick. Kerr is not gonna develop any player at this point. If they want a stretch big then they need to give PBJ some minutes.

  16. Too small. TJD is 6’9″ 245. This guy’s 215.

  17. calartnick

Love Kris Murray on the dubs, if anything so he and his brother can have Sunday dinners together and talk trash

  18. ezioauditore00789

We should not draft anyone with less than 3 year college experience

  19. JayJoaquin

Anybody who thinks any rookie is going to be ‘impactful’ missed the last 9 seasons.

  20. FadeawayFas

An average to bad college shooter is a stretch 4 in the NBA??

  21. smashsurvivor

Ahhh they are twins, I thought I was really fuckin high for a sec – or couldn’t believe the wild anomalies that happen between older/younger siblings who are 1-2 years apart

  22. Popps2315

Got so confused for a sec without realizing they’re twins

  23. dating_derp

I really hope we trade it. We won last year while just having 3 projects in Poole, JK, and Moody (Wiseman didn’t play). This year we lost partly because we had too many projects in Poole, Wiseman, JK, Moody, Rollins, and PBJ (and we had an empty 15th spot and DNP Old 14th spot).

We need to keep our projects down to 3 since we know that can be successful. So keep JK, Moody, PBJ, and trade Poole, Rollins, and our 1st round pick.

  24. temujinbk

Just to be clear — he’s not his brother. Not the same motor or mentality. Seemed to disappear at big moments.

  25. Classic_Run_4836

I legitimately thought this is Keegan. They look wayyy too similar for twins.

  26. sprinkles5000

trade the pick and bring seth curry over. we need to build our bench.
