Defense continues to be underrated in the nba, not enough pro players play tough defense for fear of accumulating fouls and being taken off the floor. The wizards have 2 great defenders in Avdija and Delon. I argue that they are 2 of the most important pieces for this Wizards team moving forward, especially with Avdija becoming a bigger offensive threat recently. And Delon was arguably single-handedly responsible for their win at DAL last week with his defensive play in the final seconds. Good teams need defensive studs to complement a good offense.

As a bullets fan I appreciate the love. And yea the rui trade was good and it lets Avdija gain confidence knowing we’re trusting in them. But our team make this dumbest decision, we don’t believe in taking.
Hmmm, that's something i never really thought about in basketball in that core players play better with some people that may not reflect in stats. It's like when i play Rocket League, i'm not the best player and some games i have low points, but we still win a lot as my teammates are good. So basically, i cater to them and let them shine and do their thing and i pick up the slack when needed but not stepping on their toes….. does that make sense? Like my skill is knowing what my teammates are capable of and catering to that
I knew when we signed Delon, that we had found the PERFECT bench guard for this team. Low usage, looks for his teammates, and plays OUTSTANDING defense. We haven’t had a guard in DC since John Wall that could actually shift the defensive momentum on our team the way Delon has.
What makes him fit perfectly next to everyone else, is he just puts all of his effort into defense, and allows the stars to get their shots on offense. Just a true team player and one that I’m really reallly glad is playing for DC right now
