Frank is the best Rockets analyst in the web. I respect his analyses very much.

Is it fair to compare a 20 year old to someone never seen before in the history of the NBA?

It is obvious that Sengun is a special player and possibly an all-star player, but too early to compare them… Let’s wait for 2023-2024 season, Alpi and Udoka mentorship…. Jokic right now is the best player in the world, not LBJ,not Giannis, not Embidd…. But he is… so it will be funny to compare 20 year old player with the world’s best…

Actually you could argue that it is fair to compare the two.
Rookie numbers
10 / 7 / 2 9 / 5 / 2
Sophomore
16 / 9 / 4 14 / 9 / 3
Now numbers are not everything but they also have very similar styles of play and Alpi has stated that he models his game after Jokers.
People need to remember that you are comparing him to a rookie and sophomore joker not the current 2x mvp.
It reminds me of Kobe and MJ comparisons, and the same kinda arguments.

Absolutely not. But we will do it anyway.

No, it’s not fair at all to do this.

Is it fair to compare the kid jokic to a sengod

Sengun plays a similar game so it’s fair in that sense, but it isn’t fair in the sense that Jokic is the greatest player on earth lol

He compared Sophomore Sengun to Sophomore Jokic. Sengun as a sophomore was over a year younger than sophomore Jokic. In fact, Sophomore Sengun was younger than ROOKIE Jokic.
