It looks like OP posted an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of [concerns over privacy and the Open Web](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmputatorBot/comments/ehrq3z/why_did_i_build_amputatorbot).

I doubt we tank, but we’re not going all in either. The main difference between this upcoming season and last season is going to be us not sitting every player every time they get a paper cut imo

Plus, even though it’s still too early to say definitely right now, next year’s draft class is being called *weak*, so it wouldn’t really be a class to tank for anyway

classic: confusing the idea of tanking. no, there is zero reasons to rank, but i mainly agree with this article: not sign guys like fvv and put the development of the young guys as the second focus. still, it doesn’t mean we need to tank. let’s do ehat the magi did. play the young guys but at the fullest potential: no random injuries, no long and useless rests,no bad lineups on purpose… simply not try to lose and tey to win if we can, but with the young guys, period. there were times this year that in a close game there lineup was third stringers and all random. simply not do this.

my simple plan now is to get cason wallace and sign naz reid. then, if we can, ideally, get batum and a somewhat solid sf in the very late fiest or early second.

Yea I don’t really agree with the article. Maybe if the Spurs had dropped in the lottery but they didn’t. They got their cornerstone already.

Also don’t think they should go all in either. Just focus on development/staying healthy. (article mentions this too)

Just wanted to post from another perspective cause it can get boring hearing only one take.

there’s no way we’re actively tanking again. Wemby will be pissed if they ask him to sit out games

Going all in and wasting all our cap space and draft capital on old and/or mid players (think FVV or Chris Paul) is also stupid tho.

the way I see it, the coming year will be an assessment year. See how NBA ready Wemby is, see how well the other youngins are coming along and then we can decide where we go from there next summer. no need to rush it.

I guess, but how do we define tanking?

    * Deliberately building a roster that struggles to win any games? Too late for that, you’ve got a #1 option now.
    * Sitting mildly injured players in order to maximize recovery and minimize minutes of impactful players? I’m not opposed entirely, especially given Wemby’s injury fears.
    * Playing marginal players more minutes to see what they have in the NBA at the expense of your most impactful players? Maybe on nights where they start flat and are in a quick 20-point hole. But they should generally play their best lineups to see how each of the “young core” players work with Wemby.

With this year’s draft, there were very clear prizes at the top. Is there anyone in 2024 that’s worth tanking the way the Spurs did this year? If Wemby’s as good as advertised and there is reasonable offseason growth from their current guys, are they even *capable* of tanking when healthy?
