Looks like David Griffin knew something we didn’t know.

The Jonathan Isaac of Chicago.
LeagueReddit00
Shit is tragic. Really hope this isn’t true.
Rrypl
He was playing the best basketball of his life in Chicago before the injury, damn shame.
AnselLovesNuts
Sucks but its Reinsdorf money so fuck him
neo9027581673
Tragic and somewhat crazy given the medical advances of this era.
Hope something works out for him where plays again.
swaggamice
That would be super sad
Aurock75
Three knee surgeries that’s not surprising. Still sad though. Dude was really starting to play well with the bulls
bigmatch
It is not private anymore.

I’m glad he got a bag before his body broke down
YogurtStreet3496
Not very private 😂
blondechinesehair
Doesn’t sound that private
encinodude
This sucks. Dude was really finally starting to be a great player
Brady331
Not privately enough apparently
Ziobot
Not sure if his Baller shoes cause this.
Emotional_Win1430
Fucking tragic, I’m glad he got some money before his body broke down but I think he would trade it all back to be 100% healthy
Cavaniiii
Very sad. The Bulls looked so good last season when everyone was healthy. He was and hopefully still will he a very good player.
Qwerrty465
OOTL a bit, does it say anywhere what were the specific injuries / setbacks during this time ? (I know he’s had 3 surgeries)
WikiHowWikiHow
what’s the actual issue? knee problems but what exactly
DLoadingKeanu
Unfortunate but he made generational money so good for him.
lilpumpgroupie
It’s still legitimately surprising to me that more NBA players don’t have career ending injuries like this. Basketball is unbelievably hard on your body, and then just think about playing it nonstop every single day almost from the time you’re 12 or 13.
Mustard_Jam
His dad straight up ruined his sons career.
Those shoes were horrendous for his feet. Not to mention all the dumb ass training they’d do at a young age on hard surfaces because his dads ego wouldn’t let actual proper people with a background in training properly develop his kids.
Even Lamelo is struggling with injuries already.
Life-Conference5713
I hope that he will be able to one day play a Shaun Livingston type role on a pure contender.
Ema919
Well that’s not very private now
doordaesh
damn dude I might be mad if my team was leaking this in the hopes that I’d take medical retirement

What do they think ‘privately’ means?

Big Baller Brand turns out to small nuts
HughGRextion
this sucks man i’ll always look back on 2016-17 with so much nostalgia, i couldn’t wait for Zo to be a laker and the 2017 summer league team was so fun i thought our future was so bright lol
i hope this turns out to be nothing and zo comes back playing even better than he was when he left.

That vid of him on the treadmill where his bad leg clearly looked so much weaker than the other was terribly sad.

So quietly that it became public knowledge.

This is like the 5th thread this year about this with the exact same comments “man this is so sad” poor lonzo ball, like yea it really is too bad but lol
theflow21
Not so private if it already leaked. Sucks for Lonzo, he was playing great before this injury
SuperDuperEazy
I guess not so quietly anymore
According_Smoke_479
This is so sad. He was really starting to be good in the nba too. He was always good but he had really come into his own and was playing so well. Such a shame, I really hope he can recover but it doesn’t seem likely unfortunately
