[Winderman] Duncan Robinson, on his two late missed open 3-point attempts Saturday, “Oh, man, the first one I couldn’t believe how much time I had, checked the wind and everything. Obviously you want to get those back. All juiced up, missed them long. Yeah, those will stay with me.”

I’m not mad at ya Duncan, you’ve been showing up lately.
This game is not on Duncan and the role players. Jimmy and bam let the team down for sure
They’d been shooting like 80% on open threes, bound to miss a couple but those were a wild couple
I can’t get too upset at Duncan, he’s part of the reason the game was close to begin with. But those 2 open shot’s hurt
Even then he’s already surpassed expectations in this series
I like the comment about checking the wind. A little humor never hurts in a tough spot.
I mean it a make or miss league. Shit happens
Yeah can’t fault him for taking them
The first one you could see him expect someone to close out and got shaken when no one did
The second he probably shouldn’t have shot as it was in transition and was super late, but it was open
Duncan kept us close in the start of the fourth. That shot stung, but not mad at him for it. Dude showed up when it was needed last night.
If they lose game 7 those are gonna haunt him forever
Pretty sure everyone blaming him didn’t watch the game. He hit two huge threes to keep them in it. Sure he missed the next two but he put them in the position they were in
Duncab been balling. I havent felt that nervous for a 3 since last years ECF game 7. And mofo did it to us twice in a minute. Some fall some dont. But he’s balling out.
When you’ve got multiple guys failing to box out and standing there just watching the ball fly through the air instead of trying to get the defensive rebound, it’s a coaching problem.
I have a lot of respect for Duncan. Out of the rotation until they had no choice but to play him and he’s been balling. I don’t like the heat but it’s been awesome to see him get his groove back.
And while I’m at it, I really like the Martin twins, so to see Caleb balling tf out, it’s been awesome. Really happy for the guy.
Man how bad that must hurt, you’re hitting every single shot that you’re getting contested, but the one time you get a wide open 3, that of all times is when you miss.
They showed him crouched down on the court shortly after the second one. He looked pretty devastated.
Not even mad at him. We lose if he didn’t play.
Robinson and Martin have played fucking lights out. End of the day anyone blaming Robinson, like I’ve seen some do, for this game are whacked.
Duncan had like 50% of the Heat’s paint points last night lol
Good that he took accountability but this game was on Jimmy. Dude looked like he didn’t even wanna be out there with how lax he was playing.
Celtic fan here.
I thought both of those were going in. I also thought JBuckets 3pter last year against was money as well.
Jimmy icing 3 CRUNCH TIME FTS then sitting on the bench like nothing happened and just said, “One stop.” Just wow.
THEN THE BUFFALO!
Kinda reminded me of that HOU game no? Harden and co did miss 26 but a few of them were wide open
Wonderful response showing ownership and some levity.
He hesitated on the one from the right center and rushed the one in the left corner. I’m not mad at either shot because he was putting that thing in the basket before that. Just some tough bricks.
The way the game was going, you want Duncan taking those shots over giving the ball to Bam or Jimmy. This isn’t Westbrook waving off LeBron or something.
Damn, I hope he doesn’t take those too hard because he’s played so well, especially with how good the C’s defense has looked the past 3 games. This loss is not on him.
Adrenaline is a hellava a drug.
I can’t believe how much flack he’s gotten for missing those shots, he was the main reason for the late comeback and has been great all series
Dude showed up when it was needed last night.
Jimmy and bam let the team down for sure
In the end, not his fault. Jimmy Butler admitted in the press interviews last night he should be a leader, and when he doesn’t play well, it puts the team in a predicament and hole that Butler enabled. I’m actually glad Jimmy has the awareness to even say that – many don’t. Now let’s hope they do something about it.
So Duncan missing shots in a high-stress situation where literally every single point counts is actually on Bam and Jimmy shooting a terrible 23%-25% from the field – the lowest out of ANY player on both the Heat and Celtics last night.
I don’t know the Heat too well…but Duncan was cooking most game. If I’m the Heat, I want those shots 7 days a week and 2x on Sunday.
im just shocked he missed those…especially after he hit that FU three earlier in the period
It’s not the fault of the love child of the 2 greatest San Antonio Spurs, Duncan Robinson. It’s because Miami’s 2 star players Caleb Martin and Gabe Vincent can’t win with bench scrubs like Bum Adebayo and Jimmy Doesn’t Get Buckets.
There’s noone on the planet who can guarantee an open look will go in, you just want someone willing to not hesitate and get up a good shot and that’s what he did.
Celtics about to make history by beating an overacheiving 8 seed missing 3 players 😈
Man, you have to believe that God does not want Heat to win game 6
Kelvin Benjamin, on his two late missed 3-course meals Saturday, “Oh, man, the first one I couldn’t believe how much food there was, checked the appetizers and everything. Obviously you want to get those back. All juiced up, missed them lobsters. Yeah, those will stay with me.”
