Zu and Cam Payne wouldnt actually be terrible on this team IMO, especially if we are ready for OO and Bey to start. Would mean more minutes for JJ and AJ too, and having expiring contracts would means we could make a swing in the next off season…
But goddamnit, John and Clint are worth way more than that plus a couple seconds, especially when those expirings are the corpses of Eric Gordon and Marcus Morris

Ngl it’s not as bad as you’re making it out to be. JC’s contract is a negative asset, the only real value we’re giving up is Clint Capela. His contract is fine but I’m todays league pure rim protector types like him just aren’t that valuable. To be completely honest, one could make the argument the zubac’s contract is a better value at just $10 Mil compared to capelas $21 mil
