I heard the pod where Cato says that.
When you think about that, when you try to balance what Hardy was as a prospect (an athlete that showed BBIQ and fundamentals that would allow him to find an NBA court in his rookie season), the name that always pop out of my head is Leonard Miller. An absolute freak, a 6’10 wing that profiles as a 3-level shooter with decent board and 1-4 defensive potential in his 1st season IMO, that should be available in the 20s.
I know how to separate my feelings from what I think. I’m crazy in love with Jackson-Davis, but I wouldn’t be shocked at all if we traded down and ended up with Clowney and Miller, two guys that absolutely will find an NBA court in their rookie season, before the ASG very likely. Another name that I could see fit this profile? Nnaji. BBIQ, crazy athleticism and brings enough fundamentals as a rim protector and screen-setter to play minutes very early.
Love this! This should be music to the ears of Mavs fans. Nothing against Grady Dick who can really shoot. But the team needs an infusion of athleticism and especially physicality.

needs to demand the ball more and step up in big moments. that’s what left us a little frustrated all last year. but he’s so young, that’s something that probably develops as he gets older.
