[Pritchard has asked for a trade from Boston.](https://sports.yahoo.com/celtics-payton-pritchard-reportedly-wants-164206210.html) We are constant trade partners with the Celtics, I don’t think it’s far fetched that we’d be interested as long as the price is a 2nd rounder or 2. Adding some bench shooting at a low price, and giving a young guy a chance to show if he belongs in an NBA rotation would make some sense.
If we would rather continue trying to develop Mann and keep giving him an opportunity instead then I’m fine with that, though Pritchard has probably shown a little more this far into their careers. Presti hasn’t historically been one to target guys who ask for trades, but in this situation I think it’s understandable that Pritchard has asked out. Anyone have an opinion?

Think it’s a little too early to be parting with capital to add veterans, unless you’re thinking like a straight swap for Keinrich Williams/Poku for PP and a pick or something
I also know that he trained with SGA over last offseason too (not sure if coincidental or not but I’ve seen a few videos where he practiced with SGA)
I’d much rather hope for a Tre Mann third year leap.
I guarantee we’re not picking up anyone who can’t defend at a high level
There do seem to be a lot of guards in the draft in the 12 range. And roster space is tight as is. If we draft another guard then it probably doesn’t make sense. Though in a vacuum I would prefer to try Pritchard for a second or two
I like him. He can shoot and is sneaky ahtletic and a pesky defender. Also, he is friends with a lot of Thunder players and trains with them in the offseason (literally it’s like all Thunder players and Payton Prichard) for a few years running. He is better than Mann.
Who cares. If he’s playing for you in the playoffs it better be garbage time.
