[DiGiovanni] House is 1 of 3 Sixers players with a 2023-24 team option, along with James Harden and Montrezl Harrell. Harden is obviously expected to decline his and Harrell’s is worth $2.7 million, which is just under the estimate vet minimum. Deadline is June 29.

Yea as someone who has a very good feel for the market Montrezl should make WAY more than that elsewhere and get significantly better minutes on another team

    >This cuts into what little cap space the Sixers could create if Harden walks.

    >They’re almost certainly going to operate as an over-the-cap team either way.

    > The Sixers are now up to roughly $121.4M in guaranteed salary (with only eight players under contract) against a projected $134M cap.

    >If Harden leaves, the Sixers will likely have the non-taxpayer MLE. Other than that, they’ll only be able to offer minimum salaries.

    >If Harden returns, House picking up his player option pushes the Sixers that much closer to the second apron.

    >If they cross the second apron, they won’t have access to *any* mid-level exception this offseason and will be limited to offering only minimum salaries in free agency.

    >I can’t imagine House was fetching more than a minimum deal in FA this summer, so I’m not surprised that he picked up his option.

    >Montrezl Harrell ($2.8M PO) is much more of a toss-up, IMO. He can actually earn slightly *more* by opting out and signing a new min deal elsewhere.

Uh, isn’t House a player option? Cuz Woj just reported he picked it up

How much could we give Harden and still have the MLE at our disposal? Our best shot is to get every important rotation player back from last year plus someone else with the MLE and we run it back with Nurse.

these are player options not team options

How is Harrel’s contract under the vet minimum? Is that an option?

I think this is worded wrong. How can Harden decline a team option ?

If Dwight should be reaching out to anyone to play in Taiwan, it’s Trez.

I’m just concerned what this means for keeping B Ball
