One thing that I think was overlooked about that hiring is that Nick Nurse has clear, concise, and effective exploits against Embiid. As a team we have had success against the raptors recently, but Nurse has shown a strong understanding of what Embiid does well and where he needs to grow, and has built his gameplans around that. I am really excited to see how Embiid’s game develops based on having a coach that has opposed him so frequently and had some success against him. This is in addition to it just being nice to have a coach that thinks strategically and adjusts.

What I like most about what Nurse highlighted was making reads and moving the ball. This team is desperate for offensive flow and decision making. This is also the first time a coach will install an offense with Embiid without Simmons around. Time to rethink how the offense works around Embiid.
