  1. I love basketball though I'm not very knowledgable about its strategies. Please help me with this. Several times today watching and listening to post Heat vs Nuggets game 1 results I heard people saying the Nuggets are unguardable and not just by the Heat. The Nuggets had the 5th ranked offense 2022/23. How can a 5th ranked offense be unguardable? They lost 29 games. I didn't hear people saying the Warriors team that only lost 9 regular season games was unguardable OR am I forgetting that people did say that? Am I to believe that there's no team in the NBA that can guard the Nuggets with success?

  2. It’s kinda the issue with guarding Denver. They can play so many different styles. By nature Denver is a half court team. Just this year they finally started running but it’s more of a add bonus than a necessity. An example is the Memphis Grizzlies where they rely so much on transition, they were terrible in the half court. Miami is just trying to do anything they can to take the easy stuff away and trusting their offense to do just enough

  3. But will Kevin love be too slow to get back for Miami’s transition defense? Isnt it better to be able to get back instead of giving up easy lay up, Maybe that’s why spo did not start klove in game 1

  4. Two free throws in 48 mins of an NBA Finals playoff game is an absolute joke. Especially when you need to get Jokic into some sort of foul trouble. I am shocked the 'great' coach Spoelstra couldn't focus his team to get to the hole- get to the line more.

  5. I appreciate your commentary. I dont know much about basketball so he makes things simple for me to understand

  6. I thought the Nuggets actually showed some rust and first time in the Finals jitters. That was a B minus Nuggets effort. They shot well overall because they completely dominated Miami in the paint but were terrible from 3. Even worse than Miami actually. Nuggets have been a 40% from 3 team all year and didn't even crack 30% in this game. Both teams will shoot better from deep but I just can't see what Miami can do to slow down Jokic. Teams have very briefly had success putting their best long defender as a rover and a smaller guy to bang with Jokic but Miami just doesn't have the personnel to do that. Love may make the world go round but in this case isn't the answer.

  7. It’s dejavu. This talk about miami playing better is like lakers figured out Jokic. It’s a cap.

  8. Would have to confirm with the stats, but it sure looked like the Heat's interior & midrange shotmaking/efficiency was well below par on pretty decent looks. Seemed like they were able to find holes inside the arc to exploit, and just missed 'em a bunch. Probably tired legs and altitude (and for sure having to shoot over bigger players), but to my eyes Spoelstra had to feel good about their chances to be competitive in the next few games.

  9. How is it when Jamal Murray misses a shot that he normally makes it’s just they missed. Yet, when any player on the heat misses a shot they regularly make it’s they’re tired & there’s no chance.

  10. When Denver was up 20 points .I think they step off the gas a little.then when they were catching up .then they put the gas back on.Denver was trolling them.they have control all the way

  11. D Booker was shooting 80% from the field just to beat Denver by 5😂! I don’t think Miami has anyone that can Do what D Booker , KD could do on offense! Davis dropped a 40 piece with a L. I don’t see enough from Miami. K Love has a great basketball mind but his feet can’t move like they once did!

  12. Overall it doenst tell the story, but Strus was 0 – 8 for 3 with some wide open looks. Not blaming him but it does affect the flow.

  13. 2 free throws pretty much summed up the heat on offense last night, Denver was daring Miami to shoot and we missed alot of open shots especially in the 1st half by Strus and Caleb. That was where the game was won, Miami won the 2h but was down 17 points at halftime, i think the Heat played at more of the pace they wanted to play at, but it wouldn't surprise me if Spo goes uptempo in game 2, and the closeout defense was not good, i didn't see the intensity that has gotten us this far in the 1st half, i expect game 2 will be a much more competitive game.

  14. I think Miami could have won this series if they hadn’t already ran through a gauntlet to get here.

Jimmy Butler looks gassed out there. He has had such a big workload these playoffs. And he hasn’t looked great for several games now, unless he’s dropping 35 11 7 I don’t trust that the heat can win.

  15. Bro at halftime Denver shot way better from 3. All of miamis makes where in the 4th when they were down 20+

  16. It’s honestly kinda sad it doesn’t matter how well the Heat play the Nuggets are just the much better team. Going into the series I knew the heats only chance was Spoelstra being the best coach in the league and what he could come up with game plan wise to slow the nuggets down while at the same time Jimmy needs to play like he did in the bucks series and dominate offensively but now I don’t even know that it’s possible to beat this nuggets team. They are just to much got the heat to over come

  17. love your show but be evan better if you could show clips of the plays your talking about remember lots of people watch your show that would be helpful that you did this

  18. When Jokic is in the game Denver get so many good looks/shots. There really isnt way to prevent Jokic from controlling the game. This Denver team is legit.

  19. Its funny how much people dont know math. 5-16 on 3 pt shots with a defender 6 feet away is the story, hard stop. These are nba shooters. To combine the 6 foot distance with the 3 foot distance and make an overall number is a rhetorical trick.

  20. Denver scores 1.17 points against zone (historically good) and starts 5 tall dudes that can all shoot the 3. They have the best player in basketball, a significant homecourt advantage, and two legitimate closers. Denver shot bad (30%) from 3 and the game was still never close. This is a 4 game series unless Miami digs deep, then it's a 5 game series. The #8 seed Cinderella has been exposed as one. Miami is a S-C-A-M. A f'ing scam.

  21. Nonsense dude, Denver is scoring 1.17 ppp this season against zone. That's not just best in the league but historically good. If Miami tries running this clown zone game against Denver, they'll lose this series in 4 and every game will be like game 1, a complete joke. So no zone, the zone is what's giving them problems. BTW, you're batting .000 with your playoff predictions this year. You tried selling us the BLM MVP Embiid, then shilled the Bucks, sold us the Lakers, Suns, and Celtics. My advice is that you to start flipping a coin. At least you'll get half right. Until then enjoy the humble pie as Denver wins the chip, and keep acting like you were right all along. 🤡

  22. Really hoping for a draymond and Jason collab

Even though half of it would be both of them talking about how much they love lebron

  23. Jason, you’ve convinced me we should already start thinking about next season😂. So if you’re a GM, which team will you take over and what roster changes will you make, to beat the nuggets next season? Would love to hear your take.
