The Toronto Raptors coaching search seems to be coming to an end as Josh Lewenberg has indicated a final decision is imminent and Sergio Scariolo and Jordi Fernandez have been named finalists. Additionally, Nick Nurse has sent a thank you out to Toronto while reports have indicated Fred VanVleet could potentially be joining his former coach in Philidelphia. Ben Rogers breaks it all down!

No reason to delay an announcement for Jordi, but Sergio is still in playoffs. You can't announce if it is Sergio until his team either Wins the Finals or is ousted in the playoffs. This makes me think Sergio is our NEW Coach. It would be amazing to get Jordi as an assistant. Sergio takes his current team to Finals as they just won the semifinals. So I imagine we need to wait another week.
I wouldn't be surprised If raptors choose to go with a wild curve ball an select a coach we all have no clue about…they known to go against what's trending…
Also, Darko Rajakovic is a finalist.
Rather have Freddy then Harden if Im the 76ers. James Harden has one strong game than disappears for the rest of the playoffs.

What people don’t understand is how bad Masai screwed up by not trading Fred at the deadline. When Harden opts out of Philly, they’ll have enough cap space to sign Fred Van Vleet without needing to complete a sign and trade in order to obtain him….aka Fred’s gonna walk for nothing.

doesnt matter if you dont have a PG, you work it out afterwards. Fred needs to go, his price tag is way to high for what he provides, he is at his ceiling in terms of skill and impact, he cannot run and offense and does not make his teammates better like Lowry did (seriously just watch Lowry play even now and he does stuff Fred cannot do in terms of court vision or being 2 moves ahead). Fred dribbles until theres 8 seconds left where he can't get his shot and he doesn't try to get his teammates going or in the flow, Hes Mike James 2.0 with lower efficiency. His strengths was being a 2 guard off the ball next to Lowry or a 6th man up against tired starters or lesser backups, don't get me wrong hes a good player but he doesn't fit here anymore at that pricetag, he needs to be next to a true pg. Its ok to take a step back and figure out how to go forward for a long term play in development.
