I actually thought of this exact trade the other day. I think it makes a lot of sense. Especially for salary purposes and would be exactly what Portland needs for dame.

The fact of the matter is that Celtics need to draft better with the draft picks and they do have. They need to knock one of these draft picks out the park a certified baller somebody can instantly comes in and makes a difference. I don't care if they're picking late in the first round or even a second-round pick cuz it can be done. they need better bigs.
I like Brown. He will continue to mature and improve. He’s about 2 years from hitting his peak. People forget he is still an ascending 26 year old.
as a Blazer fan, Ive seen a lot of other fanbases underrate Anfernee Simons. He averaged 21 ppg and already is top 5 all time in games with 9+ 3 pointers made ( only behind, Dame, Klay, Steph and Harden) after only starting for less than 2 years.And he averaged 28 ppg as the lead gaurd when Dame didnt play. He likely hasnt reached his ceiling. Combine him with Miller or Scoot, thats amazing value and fit for the celtics. Both still fit Tatums timeline with how young Tatum is. Im not even sure Portland would do it if Scoot was there.

I’m with Zannis and that’s for Jaylen as much as Boston. Is in his own head in Boston and being mismanaged. He needs a Lilliaard and Tatum needs a rondo type with offball shooters around them and a big that plays inside with a midrange game. Someone else said it chemistry should be there after 5 years and if not there is likely a problem.
Pure stupidity and disrespect. We would not be deep into any playoffs or in any finals without Jaylen Brown. How many great players get discarded after one bad game. Tatum has an accumulation of more cold stretches and bad games than Brown. Jaylen literally pulled the Celtics into and through the playoffs the last 3 years.

The only chance Jaylen Brown has of winning a championship in the NBA is if he's sitting on the bench because if he's on the floor he's gonna choke and probably choke worse. I don't want him for a nickel, I don't want him for 20 x 5 years, 40 x 5 years, and definitely not 58 x 5 years. Trade him for whatever you can get. A three pick and this Simons kid does it for me.
Remember it more than just JB, it's about JT also after he said that they need to get JB contract done. If JT sign his contract he can will request a trade after the second year of his new contract.

I think if Jaylen was honest he would say he wants to wind up back in Cali, probably LA where he can be way more than just a basketball player. He wants to do more with his life, and I don’t ever hear him express any attachment to Boston. And maybe that doesn’t matter at all, but you have to maximize incentive, and Jaylen’s incentive to be awesome in Boston may have peaked… it’s not personal really.
Keep the Jay's together. Need more front court size and a legit shooter. DWhite should be the starting PG and Rob would average a double double. Horford and Smart to the bench. Can't wait to see how Gallo fits with this team. Is Hauser a pure shooter or not? Grant and Pritchard are gone.

The JB hate from John is so real. I am starting to think that his hate is personal. JB and JT are leaders on a contender. Ignoring the consistent ECF trips is crazy to me. This has nothing to do with all star this or that. The only question is with Tatum taking up 1/3 of the cap, is Jaylen worth another 1/3 which gives you 1/3 to fill out 13 roster spots. Brown for McDermott, Vassell, Sochan and the Hawks 2025 unprotected FRP. That trade makes Tatum the clear alpha.

You guys are so near sited.. Tatum had 4 of the 7 games in the ECF where he led the team in turnovers..disappeared in the 4th in games 1-3.. disappeared in the entire 2nd half of game 6 lucky JB and the team carried. Tatum shot 22% from three for the entire series yet y’all wouldn’t even hesitate to give him that 318Mil its laughable. This contract isn’t even gonna be top 15 in 3yrs/mid point of the contract.
Keep the Jays. Use Smart to improve the frountcourt. Smart PP and Grant for Ayton
