Only 10 times has a team hit 17+ threes in a Finals game, and the Heat did it in the least attempts of all

And of all of the 30 instances that teams hit 15+ threes, Heat had the 4th best percentage at 48.6.

Just context on what a crazy shooting game it was. Historical. Maybe 4th or 5th best of all time performance.

Similar to G1 of the finals last year where Boston went nuts and hit 21 threes on 51% shooting vs GSW, and regressed to the mean throughout the series.

  1. I feel pretty good going forward. The Heat shot very very well, the Nuggets didn’t and it still came down to three points with some bad calls at the end going for Miami.

Miami shot 45% or better from 3 in 4 of the 7 ECF finals games. Game 2 was not some fluky hot shooting night for them

Not only that, they did it in a game they had 85 possessions!

Miami slowed the game down to a halt, jacked up a bunch of 3s, and caught Denver on a bad effort night. That’s how they win.

Denver is a slow team this year, but they’re great in transition. Denver needs TEMPO. If Miami is making that many shots, transition is limited. Denver needs to reach back in history and find some run and gun. They need to get into the sets fast and up the possessions to 100+. Pressure them to defend our offense more and good things will happen.

They’ve generated good looks off good ball
movement all series. It’s pretty sustainable until we start rotating and defending better

And they’ll do it again Wednesday. Nuggets made me hate the sport of basketball last night

Really unfortunate that the Nuggets played so soft on the perimeter for a few stretches and really let their shooters start feeling it.

No the nuggets lost because the heat let jokic score or something 😂
