Has to include Ingram or A Zion and Herb package.

This is consistent with the report the other day with the Pelicans souring a bit on Zion and would potentially be open to trading him. That report also said they love Scoot Henderson but didn’t directly link those two things together. But I do personally think they would trade Zion for Scoot (hopefully Zion + stuff)

  3. LopsidedTarget

Sure for BI, no thanks if its Zion unless they include another pick or player since he’s not only got attitude but also injury concerns.

Also Sharpe is untouchable in the negotiations for either of those two.

Gotta love a report like this. Feels like it only helps drive up the price especially if Hornets are leaning Miller

  5. rock-or-something

This is maybe a win win.

Maybe they trade with the hornets for the 2 pick, and draft scoot, that frees us up for miller for us.

Or they trade with us, and hopefully we get Ingram back.

  6. Zion, Ingram, Daniels, Herb all intriguing even a flyer on Jaxon Hayes

  7. Fast-Tomatillo-2046

If we get Zion I will personally give Joe Cronin a rim job.

  8. TheRealDevDev

Win win for us. I want Miller, but am worried about the Hornets drafting him. Hornets draft Scoot = We get Miller. Hornets draft Miller = We get a BI + assets for Scoot Henderson.

  9. GuyIncognito211

God Zion is going to rule in Portland

Or get super fat which might be cooler tbh

  10. allaboutthatpace

BI + any one of Dyson/Trey/Herb for Ant + 3

  11. BlackSocks88

My heart wants Zion but thats the biggest gamble we could make this offseason

  12. YoungSuplex

Ingram could make us decent, Zion could either make us a real contender or a complete dumpster fire. I’d rather take the swing on contender but that’s reeeeally laying down the chips

  13. Portland might be exactly what Zion needs at this point in his career. A lot fewer ways to eat yourself out of a career in Portland compared with New Orleans.

  14. I love the Pelicans as a trade partner. BI or Zion would be great. BI safer but healthy Zion could make us contenders. Herb Jones would have to be included to bolster defense. If not him, Trey Murphy III though Pelicans are less likely to sell him at market value.

Pelicans would want a lot for BI and it might take too much but he is the best wing player we have been linked with IMO. I would overpay for him (no Sharpe tho).

  15. toadtruck

Scoot for Zion? Would the Pels be that dumb?

  16. RipCityMaui

Dame, Sharpe, BI, Grant, Nurk. Trade the 23rd to help fill in our bench. Is that enough to be competitive in the playoffs? I’d love to find out.

  17. KingOfTheVail

I’d trade the pick for Ingram. Ant dame Ingram grant? Cmon. Contenders

  18. allsunny

I know what everyone is thinking, we could get CJ and Nance back! Let’s get the band back together!

  19. wildlyintangible

Let’s pump the brakes because the Hornets might want in on either Zion or BI. They pick ahead of us too.

  20. #3+ant+ nurk
BI, herb Jones, JV. Give us some depth and length. JV is about the same as a nurk injury wise but really streches the floor.
Ant and 3 could be deadly 1/2 in 2-3 years and they can trade nurk for a pick somewhere.
The main issue i see is pels being to small ball guard wise.

  21. drunkenyeknom

Fuuuuck I could definitely talk myself into Zion but those injuries scare me

  22. Vfbcollins

Zion has actually spent a lot of time in Portland while recovering from his injuries. If he likes it here, I could see it working. He is absolutely the most talented player linked with trading this pick.

  23. PrimalGenius

Zion is a great buy low candidate. With all drama shit in the news?

I think we can eek out a real playoff run with like 60-70 games of Zion , though that’s asking a lot from his track record

  24. AyKayAllDay47

    I cannot stand Sham’s face

He makes my All NBA face list

    Dillon Brooks
    Klay Thompson
    Tyler Herro
    Michael Porter Jr
    Shams Charania
Edit – Added Devin Booker and Trae Young

Gah, this offseason is so tough. BI + Trey/Herb for Ant + 3 is incredible value. I’ve let myself dream of Scoot/Miller in Portland, but this might be the cleanest way to fill out the team. I doubt NO gets rid of BI easily though so assumption is they say no. Really only want to make this trade for an overpay

  26. upghr5187

Charlotte trade seems more likely. They’d be more likely to do a deal without one of Zion or BI

  27. Ingram would be fantastic, but unrealistic. Zion would be a disaster. Dyson is intriguing, but no where near worth the #3, even with guys like Herb or Trey added. I really just don’t see how a deal could get done. Maybe if there’s a third team that thinks they can fix Zion?

  28. TeamRebel208

Zion is Injury Prone and not dedicated to getting in shape enough to stay healthy. Has been that way the entire time in the league. Don’t want a guy like that determining if Dame gets a ring.

  29. zion is not a serious basketball player. His mind is elsewhere and obviously wont even get into the right shape. No on him. If we absolutely can’t get brown, OG, or bridges then I would take ingram but he would be last on my list of wings of the bunch. Pelicans don’t have much that’s enticing to be honest. Feel like they are kinda desperate and know the zion situation is going south fast

  30. Iliketothrowaway2456

Zion for Simons and the 3rd? 😁

I’m kidding blazers fans (don’t kill me as raptor fan)… but this is great for you guys cause this will really drive the prices up. The more teams interested, the better

  31. PDXbarb84

I’m blown away at the amount of people that want Zion. The best ability is availability and that MFer has only played 114 some games out of a possible 328 regular season games.

If we’re going to move #3 to win with Dame, you’d better make damn certain the player coming in is reliable. Not only that, but Zion’s issues with weight management suggests to me a concerning lack of discipline. I’m not even bringing up the wild off court distractions he’s got with Moirah Mills.

Ask yourselves. Would you move #3 for Ben Simmons? He’s been injured, is a 3x all star, no discipline to address basic free throw shortcomings.
